Mourn it, try not to let it make you feel bitter about the times when it was still alive. Then move on.
    Congratulations America

Has it been slowly dying or did something sudden happen?

Well, it was quite late, and I'd been cleaning and sorting books, papers, mementos. De-cluttering brought out a sappy, sentimentality of sorts.

Things once cherished that now seem unimportant

Pursuits in vocation or avocation long expired

People loved but dead...or still alive but love long lost

Purposely left this mess undefined, so others would define Love or Death on their own terms.

Sounds like it's time to throw-out a bunch of possessions, sell whatever you can and find someone/something shiny and new to focus on.

Uhm, that's what I've been doing.

It was an open question to others....take it how you will.

Enjoy it for what it was, without allowing it to block out what is still to come.

    Isn't that Paradoxical?

I'd thought my Love for certain endeavors had Died. But it really wasn't Dead, just temporarily buried. Being reminded of previous joys has infused a bit of new life into my days.

Sometimes Death is really just a future resurrection of Love, unfulfilled or unrealized, like a coma cloud of dreams.

Try not to die with it. I find persons harder than things. Right now struggling quite a bit to get over a very special girl who turns out she is in too much pain to deal with a relationship. On the other hand I feel that I need her more than anything else.

Tomorrow is like an empty canvas that extends endlessly, what should I sketch on it?

Family holidays bring the paradox front and center. I love my sisters dearly, but recognize that our old ideas of family love had died. It died a long time ago, and needed a new definition....but they've spent so much time and effort trying to keep that old love alive, that it's driven us apart.

I don't fully understand it, but I know it's real. It's affected our relationship, and the relationship they have with my children. They have no children of their own, and that's the biggest complication. My sisters make family love feel like a constant struggle, since that's what our youth was like. It's changed my ideas of how love acts, what it looks and feels like, and when it's died.

    Gummy bears.

It's not a long term fix, but it's a start.

Love does not die. It is killed by resentment.
A 100 year old woman told me once that we should not let resentment to get in the way of love. It means not hurting each other. She also told me there are things i life bigger than us, so we need God in the relationship. She was not a preacher, and she was sincerely speaking her mind, according to her vision of life.

Indeed, we shouldn't resent the wealthy. We should love them.
