I have a subscription to the NYT, which costs me about $20 a month. I am considering taking out a subscription to the FT as well, which would roughly cost me €20 a month. I think having both is a waste of money and I have troubles choosing. What would you choose?

P.S. I also have a subscription to The Economist and Der Spiegel.

I have NYT and WSJ. I honestly think I get the best value out of my WSJ digital subscription. Interesting articles across a wide variety of subjects (both business and non-business).

But I would put the FT on a lower order of priority to both -- it's less influential (at least among people I know). And it tends to have less of those trademark infuriating NYT "lifestyle" pieces that are nonetheless interesting to read.

But the WSJ has turned to the dark, so that's out of the question.

Actually, my fears about it being part of News Corp have so far been unfounded. It's genuinely better, with beefier international coverage (and focused NY coverage) and some nice lifestyle things too. There's really no overlap with anything Fox-related.
