Default The curse of Atari name

As you may remember, decades ago, Atai entered bankruptcy. It seems to repeat history. Comments? Opinions?

I think it's more the curse of being run by idiots.
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

Atari bankruptcies seem to happen on a cycle roughly similar to El Nino.

At least el Niño is a natural phenomena determined by physics.
A company is a virtual entity that only exists in our minds. If stars are like a clock, does it mean that our human mind cycle can be measured wit the stars, like in astrology? Are idiots a natural phenomena linked to weather or the stars?

    It's just a tax scam.

    Edit: lol at someone...
According to its Chapter 11 petition, Atari owes $10 million to $50 million to at least 200 creditors and possibly as many as 999. It reported assets of $1 million to $10 million.

Anyhow, if they all go bankrupt and unsold it'll be bad for the employees but a breath of fresh air for everyone else. The copyrights will, according to French copyright law, revert to the original "artists"... so essentially most of the IP will be completely unenforceable.

Well, they probably owe refunds to all 200 - 999 of their remaining customers, so...

Wonder what's going to happen to their forums....?

Moderatorships will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to pay for hosting.

Actually, I think their forums have been down for almost six months or something. Scheduled software upgrade that someone forgot to turn back on.

Probably fired the guy halfway through the update.
Hope is the denial of reality
