New Cuba/US Relations
It's about damn time!
For the first time in over 50 years, US Americans can send Christmas or Hanukkah gifts to their Cuban friends/family -- and not have to route them through Canada or Europe first.
Of course, it's not as simplistic as that. Cuba has been caught importing weapons from Russia, and transporting them to North Korea (or other dictatorships). They also rely on Russian or Venezuelan oil to prop up their economy....even when those petrol states are dying on the global stage.
The over-50 Miami crowd might be dissing the new policy initiative, but they're no longer a majority voice.
