    Default Priest Murdered

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/07...to-europe.html

"Shouting "Allahu Akbar," the radical Islamist killers slit the throat of 85-year-old Jacques Hamel and critically wounded one other person during the morning attack inside a Catholic church near the Normandy city of Rouen. The terrorists, who forced Hamel to kneel before they slaughtered him, were later killed by police marksmen."

Just horrible. You wake up thinking this day will be just like any other day and an Islamic Terrorist forces you to your knees and slits your throat open. Insane.

France is starting to look a lot like Algeria.

France and Germany seem to be getting a new Islamic attack on a daily basis. Very tragic.

Not sure how we counter this evil.

Don't let them come over here. Cultural profiling. Aggressive police work on any individuals or groups who openly support terrorism. Sting operations. IE have agents entrap high potential terrorist supporters. "Hey let's go jihad something, I need you to pick me up x legal supplies in order to help me make a bomb to blow up infidels." Terrorist sympathizer asshole does so, nab him make an example of him throw him in prison for life. Aggressively investigate 'Islamic charities' and make sure money isn't being funneled into terrorist nations. More activities like this - http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-w...artoon-contest run by the government to set up ambushes for would be terrorists.

Unfortunately Europe is already in a bad place with the amount of terrorist supporters. =/

How successful will this approach be against extremists who perceive dying for their cause as the highest reward they could hope for?

    It targets two groups.

    1. Those who intend to commit terrorist attacks soon. Their goal of course would be to kill people and the idea of helping someone else kill someone and/or make a bigger attack will appeal to them.

    2. Those who don't currently intend to commit terrorism but might be pushed into considering it. This is a dangerous group of people that should be tested and if they give in to the idea of helping terrorism need to be locked up for life.

As someone recently pointed out a few of the terrorist attacks that have occurred recently are by 'lone wolf' folks who aren't formally part of a terrorist cell.

By not hyperventilating, calling them morons and otherwise ignoring them.

Does it seem somewhat odd to you that your tactic for confronting terrorism is largely the same tactic you use with those you disagree with on these forums? Except you seem to struggle more with not hyperventilating and ignoring posters with whom you differ.

Millions of worshippers of a horrible medieval religion coming over is going to lead to more than a few bad apples being among them. Doesn't mean everyone or even most are a problem though.

It'd be as if a portal had opened letting in millions of 16th century Christians.

Right but if you open the floodgates like Europe has done you are going to get more than if you keep the barbarians away. Mass migration from third world countries is really never a positive thing. In addition there are no problems with moderate Muslims who don't cheer terrorist attacks. The benefit of aggressive police work and sting operations is getting rid of those people who have the potential to be terrorists later.

You realize that this is also the case with huge numbers of people in the UK? The religious intolerance of the subcontinent needs no lessons from IS to be right up there with the worst.

The boys who killed the priest were probably born in France and in the case of the known murderer from a well adjusted family.

Seems to me we should rethink our notions of which foreign government influence we will allow in our lands. Prohibiting Gulf funds for religious establishments in Europe still seems like a good start to me.
    Congratulations America

    Good luck with that.
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"

Interesting. How would you go about finding the right people to tempt?

Okay, what kind of intelligence operation would be required to reliably find people in the second category Lewk listed?

Human contacts, scans of social media, particular focus on those who had left to go to the Middle East recently, that sort of thing.

MI5/FBI undercover agents infiltrating organisations that are suspicious.

As well as regular police and intelligence work.

Considering that one of those "islamic attacks on a daily basis" was committed by a racist right-winger with no connections at all to Islam, well...

Was it? I thought later facts debunked that.

Don't know how reliable the FAZ is though. Other reports mention mostly being bullied and an obsession with school shooters. Either way it doesn't sound like an Islamic attack at all.

That said even without him the amount of attacks is worrying.

Yes I do realise that and yes that sounds sensible to me too.

That's not in English, I can't read it. From what I've read the shooting was by a German-Iranian psycho obsessed with shootings and so his ethnicity was a coincidence and it wasn't the trigger. But not far right either just bonkers.

Either way there's still way too many as you said.

It's been reported in dutch media so i assume in english as well. Or use Google translate (or learn a second language ). Anyway it mentions racist tendencies, identifying as an aryan, being delighted hours birthday was the same as Hitler, and hating turks.

Your favorite newspaper also reported it:

I'd like to point out here that there is a rivalry between Persians/Iranians and Ottomans/Turks going back centuries. It's not entirely impossible that part of the boy's racism was inspired by that.
    Congratulations America
