    Default Eurovision

It's that time of the year again; eurovision is on. The first round was on yesterday and the first 10 finalists are known. I haven't seen too many of them yet but so far I'd like to offer my sincere apologies for the suffering The Netherlands is going to inflict upon the viewers and say that I think that Germany may actually win this year. I also liked the Israeli gig, but that's because I've got a soft spot for songs in Ivrit.
    Congratulations America

Eh, I wasn't too impressed with this particular song of his, though I must admit he's one of the better contestants that came out of Kochav Nolad. Kudos to him for not including any English lyrics, though - it's been a common phenomenon to do so for Eurovision lately.

The Swiss song is uninspired crap, but at least they won't make it to the final so it will only be performed once.

Here in Istanbul everybody hated me last night for correctly predicting that Germany would win.

Agreed. I feel like every second year or so the winning song is something that would have sounded a lot better if it wasn't in English.

There's this little debate going on on whether or not it's actually how she sings English or if she taught herself this accent for this song.

Does Eurovision only allow amateur musicians? Do they usually take off after the publicity of advancing/winning?
    Your search had no results.

Usually, not.. but there are some famous examples. ABBA pops into my mind.

Bucks Fizz, to a lesser extent.

    Alright, a much lesser extent.
