Energy and Environment: Teatime with Kool-Aid?

For such an "amorphous and disorganized" minority entity, the Tea Party with its freshmen congress sure has the GOP carrying their water jugs and gas cans (pun intended).

Granted, we need energy, fuel, and jobs. But we also need clean drinking water, non-polluted air and food, and oh yeah....tourism! The kind that brings hikers, campers, boaters, bikers, skiiers; urbanites seeking nature.

Between fishermen fighting oil spills in the Gulf, fighting wars for OPEC oil, mountainous Appalachia fighting strip-top coal mining, western regions fighting for mineral rights, states fighting natural gas frakking, and everyone fighting over clean water, deep aquifers, and clean air.....we need a comprehensive energy AND environmental policy. One that works for the 21st century.

The insanity must stop.
