Not interested in getting into a debate, but I wanted to assert that I have read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead (haven't gotten around to Anthem). I didn't like them very much, either as novels or for their philosophical content. As novels, they were very preachy, overly verbose, and frankly not the most interesting plots. But that's to be expected, given what she was trying to do. It doesn't actually make them good books, though. As philosophy, I never really bought into objectivism, though I'll admit I haven't read any of her detailed non-fiction essays discussing her theory in more explicit detail.

Point being, it's possible to actually read her books and still disagree with her.
