Amusing, but two problems:
First, the hygiene hypothesis really only applies to children, and I imagine most of the tenants of the hotel would not be children.
Second, the hygiene hypothesis is still very much debated, and there are alternative views out there. The actual data in humans is muddle and difficult to accurately analyze.
Good excuse if you're too lazy to clean though! We are talking about a budget hostel in Amsterdam after all
