How does it handle multi-monitor programs like After Effects, Maya, etc.?
It handles that just like Windows 7 did. I didn't look in Windows 7, but Windows 8 has definitely separated taskbars if you wish. Which means that programs you run on the second monitor only appear in the taskbar of that second monitor.
