Don't insult me, Loki. We both know you think you're far smarter than I; I am frankly dumb-founded at the idea that you think I should've written something for your blog. The economist clique certainly finds me far beneath their time, as evidenced by your behaviour, Hazzy's latest tantrum, Fussy's admission that he will put me on his ignore list when the stars align, and so on.

It has nothing at all to do with your intelligence. You and I quickly start just jabbing at each other, making more of that pointless, self-destructive noise you were just griping about. Well, and there was that one time I found the nihilism you were spouting so depressing that it was bringing me down, but that was a temp ignore. That sort of response, which you don't like, IS the only available solution *or band-aid, as the case may be* to the problem you raised.

We both know that you're capable of contributing - you've done so in the past. You choose not do it recently, and there's no reason why you can't change that.

We lead such different lives that while I think we could potentially have a good exchange of ideas, we do wind up doing as you say. And despite my nihilism I'd like to think there were other alternatives than the admission of defeat via the ignore list.
