Do you think most children in the South are currently getting an education of a decent quality? If not, is the reason too much federal oversight?

Do you think the kids in inner city bastions of left wing policies are doing so well and that federal oversight would fix it?

Do you think federal policy would fix them?

Depends on the federal policy. Doesn't seem very smart to reject the possibility out of hand. The current policies, made mostly at the local and state level, seem to be having disastrous results. I would think that anything that forces school districts to improve standards can only be a good thing.

No, again, I don't object to standards.
Now if you will notice I was giving Loki a small taste of his own arguing style that you rail against.
But I will ask again more directly, don't you want more federal control of schools?

Me? I just want public schools to be better, giving kids the best educations, hiring the best teachers..... regardless of which state they live in, parental income or net worth, or state GDP.
It would just be nice if the worst performing states didn't blame the federal gov't for their failures, while asking for more federal dollars to improve their performance....
I'd understood that the Discovery Institute had tried and failed to even author a school class level curriculum on ID, let alone succeed in introducing one to the classroom. Though my last reading on this was several years back, admittedly.
Or are you here referring to the fact that schools still attend to such silliness as "teach the controversy", or "evolution is just a theory" and that there "are alternatives" ?
How do the states compare when you take immigration into account (i.e. what most southern states don't get)? Also, have you considered the possibility that southern states have poor income because they have poor education systems?

http://filipspagnoli.files.wordpress...he-us-2000.png Where are the southern immigrants once you get east of Texas?
Do you think that perhaps people who get a poor education might be more likely to make poor decisions?

States that were on the wrong side of the Civil War (minus southern Florida and northern Virginia).

Texas is also relatively rich, while being below average in education...

The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun
WTF, UKIP isn't even racist (not that this would be legitimate even if it was).

Holy shite. Good thing the foster parents didn't complain on twitter, then they would be jail too.

I would charge the council with kidnapping.
