Not at all. Got nothing to do with the messenger and more to do with deja vu.

We've done this dance before, many times. One partner says "we don't like that candidate and can block him through filibuster" the other says "we don't like you using filibuster and can change the rules". It never actually reaches a conclusion though, I don't see what's changed. 10 years ago the GOP were whining about Democrat obstructionism, today its reversed. I strongly suspect in 10 years time we'll have the GOP whining about Democrat obstructionism and threatening to remove the filibuster yet again.
