Yes, snow removal and ice prevention is fairly expensive. Especially when it's not a 'normal' event.

Not every town or city has the luxury of Universities or Medical Centers as main tax bases, let alone leading infrastructure priorities.

Guini cat is sentry cat. Her fluffy softness is a distraction, even a betrayal of her guardian attributes. She's quiet but persistent.

Isabel is considered a "cat dog" by others, because she's the typical fiesty feline. She'd bite you for petting her 'wrong', but can sleep through almost anything, including overhead helicopters.

It makes me "happy" to know the difference between the two, and love them both.

Well, you have to admit. Snow cleaning expenses rise almost inverse linear to population density.

My chief complaint was about British cities, not their rural areas though. I doubt London is much harder to clean than Chicago or NYC.
Hope is the denial of reality

Yeah, I see no reason why London should be harder, but I don't thin catgirl or GGT live in London.

A HalfLife movie would be amazing. Portal seems like something that would to easily end up with cheesy CGI and motionsickness filming tricks.

Than again, both games are set in the same universe, so maybe we could get a movie that shows the link.

My Fiber internet is currently faster than my 802.11g devices. This is the first time in my life where the bottleneck in my internet is due to my own devices.

So I obviously went to amazon and ordered a couple of n900 adapters.

You didn't think we had a word filter here, but I found a word terrible enough to get fucking censored.

Ach, that's slow. My former connection was one degree of magnitude faster than that.

I'm going to drag this out just a tad longer. I got my Rosewill n900 pcie card today. at 3 bars, on the other side of the house, connected to my time capsule at 5ghz, my speed test seems to be topping out.

Google Fiber is about the only reason I currently want to live in Kansas City. So until Google rolls out its 1 Gbit / 1 Gbit service nationwide, I'm gonna have to be happy with a 7x increase over what brighthouse/time warner used to offer me.

Out of curiosity, what kind of stuff do you have at home that even uses that kind of bandwidth?

    torrentz. duh.

I've been doing more work from home lately via VMware and Google Calendar & Docs. The new fiber has been a huge help with the remote connection and uploading shit to google.
I'm also somewhat harddrive restricted since I'm using SSDs, so the increase in speed has pretty much removed the road bump of downloading a new game. Steam seems to be working extremely well with me picking a game, taking a crap, and being ready to play by the time I flush Although right now I'm sticking with SWTOR, and MMOs have never complained about having low lat high speed connections.

but its also because of my mom, she is a heavy internet user on top of my wife, my son's youtube, and the daughters' netflix. We needed something that wouldn't bow out when we were all online.

    EDIT:
Plus this is the speedtest from work. After using this for 9 hours a day, I was getting tired of going home to 10/3.

Sure, but wantung 1Gbit is even a lot faster - it would be awesome, of course but surely by the time you need that, it will be available outside Kansas
