The Nina Simone version of Sinnerman is one of my favourite songs but I've never before considered finding remixes of it. Remixes of awesome songs are often just shit, but these are sweet as hell:
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
Sinnerman took me to Scrubs which took me to The Coral which took me (somehow) to Once, in search for the happy song they played during the studio scene, but then I couldn't stop watching it so now I've fast-forwarded through once and am as always left with that extremely weird bittersweet feeling that makes you both happy and sad and extremely uneasy. It's strange, that feeling has grown so unfamiliar that I no longer really know what to do with it so now I'm just winding down and I think on the whole I'm kinda happy about the lack of bittersweet notes in my life atm![]()

Yep, love Sinnerman, and the Felix da Housecat version is my getting ready to go out in the evening tune.
so awful its hilarious

So, tomorrow I'll sign the contract for my new apartment (3 rooms / 65 m³ for 502€ excluding utilities) which means that I'll also have to shell out 1.200€ as a brokerage fee (there are almost zero apartments in Hamburg you can get without involving a broker - and those rare ones usually have a line of people 30 meter long before the entrance...) and 1500€ as a deposit (at least the latter one I'll get back should I move again).
Also means new furniture, a new washing machine (the one I have is showing signs of old age) and stuff.
Currently I'm looking at machines from Siemens with the i-Dos system.

My hot peppers are almost ripe for picking. And an early tomato variety is bulging on the vine. Looking forward to making my first homemade salsa.![]()
You get more internet points for the pic of Middle Earth in the background.
My son uses that same Middle Earth map like a table cloth.I'm happy he wanted a large, current, laminated (real) World map to hang on his bedroom wall. After hunting around several web sites, I found the perfect map from Staples, being mounted on foam core by a local frame shop.
Two goals in 17 seconds. That's what I'm talking about! Probably the best final I've ever seen.
The only thing that would make it better is if Boston lost in the previous round.![]()
MineCon is coming to Orlando. Pleasant surprise.

It was a long week, but it's come to a pleasant endingwe improvised a cake, enjoyed the sunny evening playing yahtzee in the back yard of the café where we went on our first what-kinda-nutjob-is-this date, reconnected with friends, stalked our adopted guinea-pig... it's amazing how much you can pack into a day when you wake up on time (although, tbh, we didn't).

I'm marrying this one <3 she has been conveniently blinded for 3½ years by hair blowing around before her eyes, thank GLODsoon the wind will wane but by then the Law of No Backsies will be in effect. By my turban--I swear I'll try to not turn into a giant disgusting puddle of squee before then
Also very jolly: my schedule's packed with lumbar punctures this my last week. I should be despondent but I'm not, because so far I'm three for three with no muckups. It seems the main reason I found them to be trickier before was that they were lying on the wrong side. No doubt I'll be forced to eat these words tomorrow

She a fan of DP?
