Default Protests over this... Are you flipping kidding me?

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/24/justic...html?hpt=ju_c1

"Protesters late Tuesday and early Wednesday gathered around an ethnically diverse group of dozens of police officers, who stood between them and the scene. People in the crowd screamed at police. Others spoke more calmly.

What looked like a firework exploded near a gas pump, scattering people and temporarily filling the area with thick, white smoke, video from CNN affiliate KMOV showed.
Four people were arrested on suspicion of assaulting officers, Belmar said. One police officer was sent to an emergency room after injuring himself while trying to get away from the firework, Belmar said.

Another officer was treated at a hospital after being hit in the head with a rock or a brick, Belmar said."

Hopefully the thug who attempted to murder the police officer with the brick or rock will be charged with actual attempted murder. Stoning is an actual form of execution in other ares of the world.

On a broader note... what the fuck is wrong with this idiots? At least in the Brown situation there was SOME ambiguity (not much once all the facts go released but prior to that one could make a rational argument that the police officer was wrong. They would be wrong of course but it wasn't insane). There is none in this case. The thug pulled a gun on a police officer. Not only was the officer absolutely in the right but everyone should be celebrating the removal of a dangerous thug off the streets. Instead we get violent attempts of police murder like we saw in New York.

Couldn't this have been addressed in an existing thread? If you're going to start a new thread every time a cop shoots and kills someone, or any time there are citizen protests.....the whole forum might start to look like a Twitter feed.

Somewhat different cases. This one is particularly atrocious to protest over and draws attention to the idiocy of the left.

If your main goal is attributing any/all "idiocy" to the left-leaning political wing of things......then start a new, dedicated thread for that. But if you do, be prepared to explain why progressives and libertarians share common values.

body can turned off, dashboard can turned off, ambiguous surveillance video, a dying man who seems to have been left unattended by medically trained professionals for an very long time and a charged issue. big surprise. you should be happy to see people acting on gut and emotions without having the facts. I'm also glad to see you support prosecuting someone for the intent of killing someone else, maybe you'll be able to support getting justice for that murdered German student now

Watch the top left from 1:30. It's not definitive because it's so far away, but it looks like he's either pointing a gun or miming doing so with his fingers.
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

Apparently the left-wing counter to the "cops are always right" is that criminals are always right.
Hope is the denial of reality

My counter is "Lewk is always wrong".
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"

Have you met Al Sharpton? He would disagree with you.

I don't know if I'd like to live in the parallel universe where Loki is Al Sharpton

Lewk, one of the beauties of the US is the ability to have "protests" you don't agree with. aka Free Speech, Freedom of Assembly.

I don't think NYC cops turning their backs on the NYC mayor, during a funeral procession for slain assassinated policemen was a good thing....and I don't think it's a good thing when new Police Academy graduates boo the mayor during a commencement speech, either.

But those were "protests" just the same.
