And it starts.

Cameron's resigned. Having risked the future of the country in order to appease the muppets on his back bench and then subsequently phoned in the Remain campaign, that's a well deserved fate. History will not look upon him favourably.
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun
Labour has a leader?

Speaking of, two Labour MP's have filed a motion of no-confidence against what's-his-name. The supply teacher.

That would explain the endless vacations.
France seems to consider sending the British border police back home from Calais.
Congratulations America
By the way; how does it feel?
I understand people are petitioning the parliament to hold a second referendum?
Congratulations America
Just found it. And it got enough signatures to require a response. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215
What do you think this is, Ireland?![]()

It says a lot though about the Labour Party that they were perfectly content with Jihadi Jez being their leader. Perfectly happy for him to regret the death of Osama Bin Laden; to be friends with terrorist groups; for him to make a spectacle out of a veterans memorial event; to be basically a communist and appoint Marxists to lead the party; for him to endorse/tolerate anti-Americanism and antisemitism; for him being in favour of unilateral nuclear disarmament. Perfectly happy for him to be the first opposition leader to lose council seats in a non-General Election year in three decades.
But being only moderately in favour of Remaining when the nation and Labour's traditional working class support is against it? That is a bridge too far.
How out of touch is Labour. That this of all issues triggers a motion of no confidence. On this one and only issue Corbyn's rather lukewarm ambivalence to the EU was far more in touch with the public mood than the rest of his party and most of the Commons.
Cameron has responded to losing the vote by resigning as he wasn't in tune with the country. Labour has responded to losing the vote by trying to replace their leader with someone even more out of tune on this one and only issue. Do they have a death wish?
Yeah, who knew that people would care more about major economic and social issues than they do about empty rhetoric about a dead guy.

And 2/3 of Republican voters think Obama is a Muslim. Doesn't mean the GOP should choose a nutjob as its leader.

Sooner or later those traditional idiots will die and there's a new generation coming
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
SIEG HEIL, you fuckers![]()
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.
Depends if they want to win the election doesn't it?
Brexit isn't a mass delusion or factually incorrect, it is a fact in the making. Like it or not it is happening, the nation has voted for it. Any attempts to turn back the clock on that are going to be met with punishment by the voters (I think the vast majority of voters want this over one way or another and will respect this decision - only a tiny proportion of die hards will not).
The rational thing for a party to do is to get behind the result of the election and try and shape what post-Brexit Britain looks like. Instead Labour seems to be going into hyperdrive stick your head in the sand mode. Oh well, leaves the field clear for the rest of us to shape the future of the nation in this critical moment.
It seems to me the rational move for Labour is to vehemently oppose anything the Tories do and then blast the Tories in the next election for any problems that arise from this. Plus if Labour goes anti-EU, it will lose its urban vote to the Lib Dems.
Hope is the denial of reality
Labour doesn't need to go anti-EU even the Lib Dems have said they regrettably respect the result of the vote. That's all Labour needs to do and then move on, instead they're emphasising how out of touch they are and doubling down on it. Not sure I see the logic in that move.
"Listen to and respect the vote"
"Come together and heal the divisions"
"Respect the decision of the British people"
"Re-unite the country"
"Secure the best deal for the British people"
The first are all platitudes mouthed by everyone who wins or loses an election normally. It is the lines being used by the Lib Dems and Remain Tories and everyone else [except SNP who are on a war footing already for IndyRef2]. It should be the order of the day for everyone to show respect for the democratic exercise we had yesterday and try and maintain support from both sides of yesterday's division.
I despise Corbyn and all he stands for yet it seems the Blairites are seeking the worst possible moment to strike and make him out to be the sane one. What an incredulous situation.

Well, loads of young people weren't so happy with the result. They could have known it would change their lives. They still didn't get out to vote.
Congratulations America

Shows once again that economics had little to no effect here. Just like in the US with Trump, it's mostly about xenophobia and racism.
