I'm not so certain; parts of the text are so ambiguous that it almost seems as if they want it to mean the same as the present situation but with a different name. I mean 'Mobility Framework'? What is that supposed to mean? Basically the only 'red line' that survived Chequers unscathed seems to be that they want to regulate for the City independently.

May's questionable actions and statements have either reflected Brexiter-Tories' wishes, been provoked by their actions, or been overshadowed by their asshattery. Triggering a50, red lines, attempts to fudge, lack of preparation, throwing GFA under the bus, lying to parliament, the responsibility for all of these things is shared.

May's made a ton of mistakes, but the basic problem she's faced with is that Brexit, as envisaged by the Leave side during the referendum, is an unsquarable circle.

No it isn't. It just requires taking a stand and going with it. There were a number of options available which the EU said at the start - a CETA style trade deal, EEA deal etc. May has insulted everyone both at home and on the continent and stood for nothing. She is weak.
Had a decision been made at the start both what kind of Brexit we wanted AND preparations in earnest in case talks failed then things could have been better.
That is nonsense. She has tried to act in accordance w/ the mandate they have and in accordance with the conflicting wishes of the Tory party. Because it has been her responsibility to deliver precisely that shit-sandwich, that's what she has done. Any Brexiter who wanted to trigger art 50, or insist on those red lines, or approach the negotiations in the same idiotic and delusional fashion as Brexiter ideology dictates, or who tolerated the likes of Davis, Johnson, Gove, Fox, Mogg etc. would have accomplished precisely the same things.

How's something CETA like gonna fly with the idea of not having a boarder with Ireland (either one) and the UK, thus screwing up the Good Friday Agreement?
I agree with you that a decision should have been made right at the start about what Brexit should have look like, but 'right at the start' should have meant before the referendum so people knew exactly what they were voting for. As it is, Brexit turned into something basically any given type of right winger could project their political fantasies onto: it's turning the UK into a Singapore style centre of free trade and deregulation and will magic trade deals into existance, it's turning the clock back on globalism and cutting migration to the bone, it's going to free up tones of money for the Tories to pretend to spend on the NHS but really just tax cuts for rich people, it's going to be exactly like being in the EU and nothing will really change except the annoying parts, etc etc etc. Hence the mess and confusion, plus fuckers like Reece Mogg or Farage under the impression that because they won the referendum they have a mandate to impose their own personal vision of Brexit on the country.
There should definately be another referendum on the deal, but there's almost no time for that because Article 50's already been triggered.
