Checked in for my flight tomorrow. All I need to get through is a seminar on a new European Directive tomorrow.
    Congratulations America

Finished up the vehicle AI I've been working on for this job, and I'm really proud of the work that I've done. But I swear sometimes the Unreal Engine makes me go...

Just to give you an idea of the craziness, here's ONE line from the pathfinding code I wrote this week:

    TargetPoint.SetLocation(IIPathPoint(MoveTarget).Pr evPathPoint.Location + Normal(MoveTarget.Location - IIPathPoint(MoveTarget).PrevPathPoint.Location) * (((MoveTarget.Location - IIPathPoint(MoveTarget).PrevPathPoint.Location) dot ((Pawn.Location + (vect(82,0,0) >> Pawn.Rotation)) - IIPathPoint(MoveTarget).PrevPathPoint.Location)) / VSize(IIPathPoint(MoveTarget).PrevPathPoint.Locati on - MoveTarget.Location)));
That's just to figure out where the car is SUPPOSED to be. It's all working great now though, and now the AI aren't acting like drunk drivers anymore!

The university classifies me as a sophomore now. I haven't even been here a full semester yet, but I transferred enough lower division credits from high school to put me ahead of most students who started a semester before me.

I just need to stop by the engineering advisors' office to get the advising bar cleared so I can register online for classes next semester. I should be taking Statics, Engineering Design Graphics, Intro to Computer Methods, Principles of Chemistry II, and Mechanics of Solids. Then just three more basic sequence courses and I'll be ready to start major sequence.

Been in business for nearly 7 months.
Still workin' 60-70 hours a week.
    The money's good.

But what really get's me, is phone calls like the one I just got.
The conversation led to "the only reason we went to (that other place) was because of you."

    Fuckin' ay!

I just noticed this in GTA IV today, on the side of a work van.

    Rockstar Games rules.

My house smells like chocolate cake.

Chocolate cherry cake, to be exact.

Tomorrow I will come up with chocolate cherry frosting to go with it.

So I guess I'm seeing someone again
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

I finally fixed my router problem.

Now I think it is Nintendo that is defective, instead (because of their preference of WEP encryption - so the wifi capable ds games they have will still not be played with interwebbyNess).

It is, however, probably too late for me to return the usb adapter for internet for the replacement Wii now that I have determined that the printout with my router settings I had is so very wrong.

Buddy Boy is having heaps of fun with his dsi.

    Georgia love bugs suck

2 days of heavy rain, which almost completely removed the need for me to scrub said love bugs off the van is good
Tonight or sometime soon I'm going to upload the pictures from my vacation through Georgia.

One of our local Exxon stations is changing out their pumps and covers. They let me have one of the old metal blue and white Tiger signs that covered the upper pump mechanism. Tiger in the tank. No idea why that makes me happy, it just does.

My drains were blocked with toilet paper and human excrements, causing a backwash into the bathroom on the ground floor. With the help of our plummer I found 2 men who were willing to fix this problem. Cost me $200 all in all.
    Congratulations America

Maybe it made me happy because I know my son likes that stuff, too. He moved back home the other night, and he brought a big metal yellow universal Ped X-ing sign (which he stole, of course ). He'd added a bunch of graffiti art to the stick figure dude, and turned the square to a triangle, so it looks like a skiier trying to go uphill with a psychodelic snowstorm pushing him from behind, and another crazy looking swirly thing up ahead....

It looks really good, but not sure how to hang the damn thing.

A while ago I read about how most cable companies have to install a filter for homes that only subscribe to internet, and not a cable TV package. At the time I didn't think anything about it.
Yesterday while I was outside working on trimming tree branches away from the roof, I dropped the saw and it happened to smash open the Brighthouse cable box thats installed on the side of my house. Like a damn treasure chest being opened for the first time I found the filter Brighthouse had installed on my cable line staring right at me.

I now have basic cable, and a few crazy extra cable stations (some sort of unprotected ondemand stuff?), in the bedroom and living room I got to watch a bit of the WRC last night via Discover HD.

Theft of services is something to brag about?

    Alrighty then.

I'm happy because Buddy Boy is no longer complaining about having to go to school tomorrow (it's his birthday, he will no doubt appreciate the fantastic date when he is older) for his last day of testing.

Also, incidentally, he pleased me with his birthday list - he wanted a dsi, a chocolate cherry cake, Pokemon SoulSilver for him, and HeartGold for his sister. And pepperoni pizza.

He got exactly what he wanted (had his party Sunday).

He doesn't know it, but tomorrow he's going to get a couple of more presents.

She, incidentally, pouted when she saw his dsi. My real question is will she choose to replace her lost/stolen iPod on her birthday, or ask for a dsi. Knowing her, she'll ask for both. I wouldn't count on her making her birthday requests include something generous for him, either. That's not to say she's selfish or anything, but I don't think I have ever met anyone as unselfish as he is.

They can tell when a filter is bypassed. Expect a visit from the cable police soon.
Faith is Hope (see Loki's sig for details)
If hindsight is 20-20, why is it so often ignored?
