The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

One of those 3 "main" lines goes right over my house. I wouldn't mind some space junk.

Bad things always happen in Africa. Also, the Chinese have been contributing advanced materials to various African nations for decades.
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"

I was really hoping it'd land outside OG's house... better luck next time

But also how fucked up is this whole story

Seeing as the Chinese were aiming for Trump's head, I'd say very fucked up.

If hindsight is 20-20, why is it so often ignored?

Is it, though? I may have missed some details, but I thought this was nothing more than a semi-special edition of "space-related stuff goes wrong, as it sometimes does". The only thing that stands out about this is, most malfunctions/fuck-ups don't make it back to the surface.

A "fucked up" space tech story example would be the Russian Proton-M rocket failure in 2013, caused by some sensors installed upside down - particularly due to the fact that not only did the sensors have little arrows indicating "this side up", which were thoroughly ignored by the technician installing them, but they also were built to fit only in the correct orientation; a safety feature that did not, however, account for the fact that the technician in question had a hammer.
