I think the point is more that this thread is too much and that a single sticky noting disciplinary action would be better.

Probably not necessary at this point, but it's a good idea, all the same.
On a related note, has Wraithy made infractions visible to users yet? I can see YM's status, but not the nifty 1 Warning/5 points thing I'm accustomed to.

So Steely, when you say sticky do you mean in the context of an "Announcement" type sticky where such things as ban's are reported but no replies can be added? That may be better since threads announcing bans can lead to regrettable posting about said banned members who are not present and have no right of reply which is regrettable IMO.

Just why is it that the information conveyed by the profile, the infraction list *if it's up yet* is not sufficient? What is the purpose of making this sort of announcement, or a sticky thread? Surely the scarlet letter is quite large enough without such measures. The only people the mods owe an explanation to is the one disciplined. If they want it to be public, they can act to make it so. Public praise, private censure is Etiquette 101.
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"
I posted this publicly Fuzzy because YM has been in various discussions across the forum and I thought on balance it'd be more fair to let people know than have it appear he'd gone away/wasn't responding etc ... And hasn't indeed been permanently banned, the title doesn't clarify it. Plus given the problems were spread across a load of threads I was unsure which if ever to reply to. Didn't want it to be ninja modding. Finally not sure what, if anything, appears on the profile for everyone since we moved.
Ideally there shouldn't be too many instances of this.
