Thread: What is making you happy right now

Used Science Olympiad as an excuse to hang out with the girl I like. We decided to BS one of the events we were going to fail and just hung out.

The SNES pieces are finally coming together!

At first I was worried about connection space, but the SNES uses the same cord as the GameCube. KICKASS!

Craigslist free section. Not only does my sister make a better living than I from just that section, but its been working out great keeping this family happy.

Tonight we managed to pick up 540 Pokemon trading cards for Brent, some weren't in English, but the binder even included the Pokemon card from the first movie It involved driving down a flooded Dale Mabry is one hell of a rainstorm (which included a burning transformer blocking one lane), but it was worth it. For the expression on Brent's face, for how Brandy is going to thank me, hell it was worth it for the card protector sheets alone (those things aren't cheap).

Aww, your setup is better then mine.
I have to hook up my GC and SNES to an old Trinatron from the 70's.
    I enjoy blank walls.

I was surprised it didn't take any screwing around with. Plays perfectly with some knock off 3rd party Gamecube cable using the S-Video connection. It scales pretty good too.
Of course, I'm now discovering that all these games I sold at a yard sale many moons ago are worth a nice shiny penny

We used to have our N64 hooked up to a Commodore 64 monitor....looked pretty good too!

My boss told me that they have 80 hours left for me, which means another week of work on top of this week. I'm still going to be low on money after this is over, but every little bit helps! Also, this week I'll be finished paying off the Oregon taxes.

Wanna trade? Picked up this badboy today for $25, but it doesn't work with LCDs, and my DLP TV is to large. So I end up sitting my ass on the floor shooting at a 13" monosound TV via the RF connection.

Gonna get to go where few can go, and photograph the city. It's open air, not behind windows.

If someone tells you to "Choose and perish" while you're up there, try to clear your mind and get the hell out of there.

Heard Thor's Hammer shows up at the end of Iron Man 2, may have to go see that movie after all.

Yeah it's a good idea when your insurance renewal comes around NOT to renew without getting quotes - you can usually save money without even changing insurers.

Around £670 for my renewal last month.

It's more to do with living in London and parking on the street.

At my last house in the leafy 'burbs with a driveway and gate to park behind, my insurance was £150 odd cheaper.

This signature made me "heh". So I was halfway there.

Yeah yeah, you keep telling yourself that. Next you'll be saying that Audi drivers are new 'Most arrogant drivers on the road'.

I'd be interested to see how much my insurance is for an area in London. Might give it a go and see! I'll report back.

Volvo drivers are by far the most unpredictable, careless and dangerous on the road.

After the Microsoft sweatshop thread I realized that although Microsoft's productivity peripheral offerings suck ass, I grew up heavily using 2 Microsoft gamimg products, their Force feedback wheel, and this controller:

So I decided to give their current game offerings a go, and picked up an X5 mouse. Its the perfect shape for me, but a little large for Brandy, and glides smooth as hell (different feet material compared to my Razer). The thumbs buttons are a little touchy, so I have to get used to that, but the Intellipoint software is a hell of a lot more mature than I remember. The DPI buttons on top are also a nice touch, a better design decision over my old Razer.

Don't know how that business usually goes, but I'd think that the holidays would be your best months, so if you're breaking records in April, that must mean you're building up a good reputation and increasing your client list?
Anyways, glad to hear the business is going well..

Seriously! Glad you're happy about the money, your business, all that. But hope you haven't given up those other things you do (that make others happy) like making those awesome kites. Or cakes. Or blowing glass. Your kites blew me away. Pun intended.

I am now turning new customers away. Honestly I am not sure why I am doing better now than at Xmas. But Xmas has changed in the industry, about 3-4 years ago actually. Not as busy as it used to be. I attribute it to 'new tech toys' being the new xmas presents, even for chicks. Dunno. I also have been raising my prices.

I will, don't worry. I just don't have time to build new ones at the moment.
