Thread: What is making you happy right now

The Hogfather was pretty good, but I was disappointed with The Colour of Magic. I don't like this trend!
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

Colour of Magic wasn't that great, no.
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

Going Postal was ... meh ... okay.

    Pratchett's earlier books >> Pratchett's later books.

done and done. Does it cost you to release via Impluse? Does their patching system make it easier to keep the community for a game like this updated?

Thanks! No cost to us. We helped them get the UDK working with Impulse, so it was a mutually beneficial thing. Still trying to figure out how things like patches will work though.

Mini-series I'm guessing, weren't the others? Not seen any of them before yet.

I liked Going Postal, all Moist von Lipwig's books in fact.

ok, not totally done. Redownloaded Impulse because my version wouldn't update itself, and it wouldn't install your game without the update.
but now I get no sound in Prometheus

Doh! Some other people are having problems with any UDK games and sound, I have no idea what's going on there but I'll see if anyone found a solution.

[edit] Looks like it may be a problem with 7.1 sound, if you're using that try 5.1. It may have been fixed with the newer UDK releases which we're using for the commercial version:

My girl made a little tiny "save the Earth" book while she was off playing with her friends today.

Miraculously, the grammar is somewhere close to correct (with a general lack of commas).

At any rate, it's really cute.

Have her write an essay about gun ownership.

Now, now. If little Magelet is still lurking and reading (while pouting) we wouldn't want to give him a complex when he realizes that a 10 year old girl writes better than him.

Oh, and Buddy Boy provided me with poetry inside his homemade mother's day card.

    Thanks for being nice.

    That worked! Thanks
No one has love for 7.1 any more. My Hulk game has a similar problem, and you can barely even find 7.1 computer speaker setups in the store anymore

I rather liked the darker Nightwatch.

But my favourite ones are those with Granny Weatherwax.

Will your sexy man legs be in your sexy trainers, or will you be a total tease about it?

My sexy man legs might be in my sexy trainers. Two birds, one stone.

However now you've mentioned it, everyone likes a good old tease. It's like having a starter before the main course, it has to be done.

I am so happy with them, I'm doing some running/cycling tonight so we shall see what they are like in those conditions. Then the super test will be Wednesday when Lor becomes Mr Bruce Lee in the evenings ... !
