It doesn't matter what day it happens to be, life is still a dreary, bleak existence without lasting fulfilment, happiness or joy. The best you can hope for is a swift death over the weekend, I guess
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

    Not true.

I can hope for a relatively long death from the combined effects of too much booze, too many drugs and too much sex. Any pleasure overdose I may have in the cards can, and ought to, kill me slowly.

Well I plan to get drunk and fall over, so if I make a small mental note at the back of my befuddled brain to fall over in the road instead of the pavement I may just achieve swift deathNess.

    *dances*

EDIT: And I tried to pre-empt your bleak existence comments but I guess I didn't go far enough.

I'll share your joy that it is Friday, Tim! (though no booze for me)

Nice weather, no work, hibachi grill tonight, Greek festival tomorrow, and a BBQ on sunday. I'm ready to have some fun!

We don't get any time off, so weekends are just the time we do work we didn't do the rest of the week.

Paying off the rest of my Oregon taxes Monday, so I'll be debt free except for the little bit still left on my credit cards. That's the first and last time that's going to happen.

From the "governments always follow their own laws" department:

"An Argentinian politician who introduced a law to send plagiarists to jail for three to eight years appears to have plagiarized the explanation of his bill directly from Wikipedia. The bulk of his explanation is three paragraphs that are taken, verbatim, from Wikipedia, without acknowledgment."

Just found out my result for a mid semester exam, 73.5/100. I'm very happy since it was a rather tricky one about vector calculus, contour integration, and numerical analysis. I thought i'd get something lower since i didn't complete one of the questions..but now i think i deserve an early night

Stick a fork in it, this project is done! My boss said that another company is interested in buying a simulator, so there could be more work for me sometime next month.

Wii equipment has arrived, been tagged, and is ready for roll out! Managed to get everything ready in time for summer, so hopefully I'll be able to bring the teens back, and draw in some summer groups. Depending on E3 announcements I could have a 360 by the end of July. Work is exciting again!

The new projector in the dome is drool worthy.

Yes, finally. It took forever to get them ordered from Amazon for some reason. We've been using PS2s for the past few years. While we've gathered up an impressive collection of games, the system was starting to show its age, and the teens were getting bored.

So I managed to tap enough of our donation fund for a Wii, Band Hero, DJ Hero, Mario, Wii Resort, Rayman, a few brain and health games (adult gaming), and 3 more WiiMotes, nunchucks, and those little Motion Plus attachments.

Still need to get a wireless sensor bar and some sort of battery plan, but what I have works good enough.

    I got an email today
I am sorry that it took a while for me to get back to you. But I am pleased to tell you that it is possible for Felix to do a 3 month internship at Yale and that he will be able to work in the field of his first choice.
Awesome Now I just hope they can give me money, too

Keep on keepin' the beat alive!

Yes, that would be good. Money is useful. But it grows on trees.
