9th employee this year at iPhone manufacturer Foxconn has died from suicide . . . 2 more had attempted but survived on top making it 11 attempts this year!

Considering the horrible quality Foxconn products are for the DIY crowd, I'm not surprised the working conditions aren't any better.

    Episode 12 of Eureka Seven.

There's a scene where the protagonist is in a classroom, looks up, and sees himself looking down at himself in a toy classroom.

If you want weird in Anime shown on American television, watch FLCL or the last episode of Big O and then get back to us...

Another Why the Fuck would they allow that. Facebook allows Like links that are over 26,000 characters long. Simply click here, pick one to like, and watch your friends' pages break.

Keep in mind that up to this point, there wasn't much more going on other then "Surfing Robots, Woo!", so throwing in a mindscrew scene caught me off guard.

    (BTW, FLCL sucked)

BFE has had, just today, sunshine, clouds, rain, hail, damaging winds, snow, and the possibility of tornados! FFS!! I want warm and sunshine!

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink, because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl.

They like it because it's popular. It's popular because two hipsters on the internet said it was good.

    Not the hipsters
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

Discussing it not, but dressing kids up in clothes like this is just asking for parent complaints. Dressing up in nazi uniforms doesn't go down well, either.

This morning, as I was on bus, some guy repeatedly attacked others around him. There was no apparent reason - everyone was minding their own business, and suddenly this guy swings at someone. Shocked, the other guy just went away. The first guy did nothing for 5 minutes or so, and suddenly turned around and tried to punch someone who was standing behing him. This repeated a few times, until police arrived and took him with them.

Gwinnett County school officials tell Channel 2 Action News that school police have launched an investigation into possible criminal charges against a former teacher who admitted having a sexual affair with one of her students.

Keenon Hall, 29, resigned from her English teaching position in April after admitting a sexual affair with a 17-year-old male student.

Hall said the affair was consensual and that she was resigning for medical reasons. Last fall, her peers voted her Shiloh High School Teacher of the Year.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Regan obtained copies of a statement, written by the student for investigators, describing the sexual relationship.

The student, who played on the high school football team, said Hall made an initial advance when he went to her for help with his homework last October.

“She began touching me on my leg, and then asked me when I was gonna let her molest me. I said, 'Never,' and we began to laugh. Then she asked me again, this time handing me a phone number and asked me to call her," said the student's statement.

The student said that a week later, his teacher sent a cab to pick him up and take him to a motel on Mountain Industrial Boulevard. The student's statement said, “She gave me some vodka and asked me, 'Do I enjoy drinking?' After the drink, she began feeling my man parts and we had sex.”

The student said Hall later gave him money and a cell phone. He said they had sex several times, including inside a classroom at Shiloh High School. Hall denied any sex took place in the classroom.

He said their relationship continued from October to spring, but then it fell apart. “What made Keenon Hall mad was the fact I would not give her a baby," the student said. "I said, 'No, I will never,' and that night she began crying because of how mad she was. She took me home and never said anything else," he said.

School spokesperson Sloan Roach told Regan that the teen reported the affair to administrators when the English teacher lowered his final grade. “The original grade has been reinstated," said Roach.

Roach also told Regan that a search of the teacher’s laptop computer turned up 14 pornographic video clips. A document reviewed by Regan indicated the titles of the explicit video clips included “Shemale Threesome."

Roach said school resource officers will cooperate with the Gwinnett County district attorney to determine if criminal charges are warranted in the case.

Hall was an employee with Gwinnett County Schools for five years.
    "man parts"

How can anyone be attracted to someone who refers to his penis as his man parts?

edit: Also, the fact that he decided to "tattle" because of his grade (and the possibility that she changed his grade because of the direction their affair went). The pair of them appear to deserve each other.

Caught Ocean playing Co-Op Terminator with Brent. I'm talking about running and aiming with both sticks, and still being able to fire! I know she tried playing Halo before, but the controllers are to large her hands; I never figured she had the coordination for these games yet.
Color me impressed. Hardest game I had when I was even remotely her age was Super Mario World.

Two-toed sloths have been recorded descending from the trees to feed out of a human toilet.

The extraordinary behaviour, recorded on at least 25 occasions in the Amazon rainforest of Peru, has stumped the biologists who witnessed it.

The sloths either crawl into the latrine to feed from it or scoop out the excrement and waste within.

The feeding habit is even more bizarre as wild sloths are plant eaters not known to feed on animal matter..

Yes, Dennis Hopper died. RIP. He'd been sick a long time.

I'd start a Memorial Day thread, but it probably wouldn't go very far here, which makes me say WTF.

  28. #568
I think more people here would know Dennis Hopper than Gary Coleman.

Easy rider, true romance, that song with the Gorrilaz, "fire coming out of a monkeys head". Waterworld.

    Legend.
