To be fair, Brazil arent exactly going to be getting much sympathy, holders as they are of the trophy for worst ever dive in a world cup ever.
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink, because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl.

SHame really because they didnt actually play too badly. With a lot more passion than england, given that they are the lowest-rated team in the competition.

My work won't allow that, heck i heard that they'll actually filter BBC Sports website instead, so that we don't watch it in the afternoon.

    I'm not happy.

    Hmmm that sucks dude.

See if you can record it, try not to hear the result, then watch it in full after work.

Trouble is if it's a victory there'll probably be lots of honking cars, flag-waving, happy faces etc ... it'll be hard not to find out the result.

    O-ho-ho-ho.

Am expecting a draw to be honest.

    And it will be agonizing.

Good job you can only follow the game on the BBC site.

    Zigs, that's in foreigner speak.

When there is live coverage a small yellow telly will appear accompanied by the word "live"

Commentary will be in foreign speak, but you will be glad not to understand a damn thing the commentator says, because he is usually going on about the age of the coach and where he spends his holidays.

I'm going to assume the referees this year are down right awful. The local TBT paper ran a full page article on all their screwups and lack of accountability. A full page article on soccer, in the USA...

From what I have seen that would be a fair assessment.

    What is this telling me?

It's telling you the maximum of 120.000 people has been reached :/

edit: which would be odd, since that only happened during dutch games. Maybe it is a country specific site

It then let me look, but I am pretty sure what I was seeing was a screen telling me fuck you, you aren't Dutch.

I was really just curious about whether it would work, anyway. If I wanted to watch the game I'd make the kids quit playing the Wii.

Or go to my room. Or probably watch it off ESPN or something here.

You wont want the commentary on anyway if its banned at your work.

Moreover, were you to be desperate for the commentary you could theoretically go to the 5live website and stream live commentary to match the game right?

Also the site www.myp2p.eu has pretty much all live sports streamed to it. Not ideal quality but whatever
