Why thank you! I have developed a taste for pretty flowers over these past months, now there's a VERY long-stemmed VERY pretty VERY VERY red rose in a new vase in my increasingly feminine room. Days keep getting loverlier and loverlier it's been a most wonderful day with lots of cheesecake and movies and falling asleep. The best way to sunday

Not at all, we encourage questions around here - just don't expect answers to go unquestioned...

    Back On Topic.

I am happy because I just ate some food (mashed potato and gravy) without puking it up, I may be getting better.

Had a good weekend, and a fairly full planned week coming up! Tuesday I'm going to some party, and there are a bunch of bands playing: Absynthe Minded (fun!), Dinosaur Jr., Public Enemy (), Black Box Revelation and the Partyharders Squad (that's a blast!). All for only 15 euros! And a cute girl is also going
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!

We went to the farmer's market this morning.

    I have peaches!

Also, blueberries, okra, green beans, and zucchini.

The peaches are the most important part, though.

Got my new Ikea 2011 catalog in the mail. 374 pages of furniture built to last just long enough for the next catalog to be printed.

Just got back from seeing Cinematic Titanic at the Castro. They did War of the Insects, and I liked this one better than Tiki Island and East Meets Watts. I got my Volume 9 set signed this time, making it rarer than it already was (it's out of print and you can't even find a used set for less than $150). And I was finally able to get a pic with Dave 'Gruber' Allen!

Phewy. Internal job interview in the city over with.

Was only an hour, so ran out of time. I talked a lot innit.

Was suitable. Small team. Think I'd like the work and the people.

    Should hear by friday.

Internal job interview? Same employer, different gig? (Same shit, different gravy?)
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.

    Yep Yep. All the above.

Been with current team nearly 10 years, itchy feet, try summink different, big world out there, get back to the big smoke, plenty of internal opportunities with global employer etc yadda

Think I came across ok. Criteria-based interview, not heard of it before. Quite structured. Answered all the questions well enough I hope.

Funny, for a guy who doesn't talk a lot, I seem to talk a lot in interviews.

Its been a while for me, I'm sure I'm going to forget or mix up something here, but....

Tier 1 networks are the backbone of the internet. Losing a tier 1 connection can sometimes cause entire regions to go dark. I think there used to be 7, almost all of them in the US, but I believe that is changing now.

If done right, being on a Tier 1 network means you're having to jump through fewer hoops when trying to communicate online, that means lower pings. Pings are extremely important for online gamers.

Just remember, the only common factor in all your life's failures is you

I survived waking up at 6am, and getting the little people off to school.

And now I am free! Free, free, free.

I'm basking in the silence right now.

Talking with you is so ... warming. Life-fulfilling. Your conversation is like a cooling dip in a freshwater lake on a gorgeously sunny day, it makes you feel good to be alive.

    ~

Anyway. Fuckoff 'n all that. I'm happy as a pig in shit me.

Finished work and I'm now officially on vaycayshun for two and a bit weeks biotches!

Fly tomorrow afternoon to the northern coast of Crete with the lady for a week.

Nothing but cocktails on the beach, a-swimming in the sea, and a-bumming around the island sightseeing on a li'l scooter for 6 days.

"I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, and our bleak future, that I called the Suicide Life line and was connected to a call center in Pakistan. When I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck."

Is it wrong if that made me laugh?
