    Default Piano music

I have great diffculties working to anything but solo piano, so I tend to have piano music playing most days when I'm reading or writing.

    Chopin's Nocturnes

Ludovico Einaudi's Una Mattina and the La Scala concert

David Nevue's... well, most everything I've heard so far!

And also Greg Maroney, though he's new to me.

In case some of you share my tastes

    I adore solo piano music.

EDIT: I'm listening to Nocturnes, Vol 1 right now. (not my favorite, I confess)

Funny, I hate solo piano music. Really don't know why but I really don't like it at all.
    Congratulations America

I'm like that with solo tambourine music.

Now see for me, there is very little solo piano that I care for. If I'm playing music for white noise it's so I can listen to it with half an ear, letting it absorb attention which would otherwise wander if in silence while focusing on what I'm working on. So I AM listening to it, and most pure piano pieces actually annoy me a bit. Any solo performance does that to an extent, they're just not rich enough and frequently solo music is supposed to impress rather than be easy/enjoyable listening.

Not to put myself in the same class as the "masters" but I love to play, when I have a keyboard to play on! I just went thru a 25 year "drought" and finally got an electronic keyboard for my apartment. Listening to and playing are 2 very different things!
