Thread: Crazy House is out of the crazy house!

Default Crazy House is out of the crazy house!

And now he's fucking Cuddy. And it's awesome.

Frankly I'm surprised about how well they've done these episodes given how gods-awful the end of the last season was. Should I once more take the past as prologue and anticipate worse episodes? Time will tell!

The recycled clinic joke was, well

    Recycled

702 was a solid episode though. House-Cuddy stuff was hilarious (esp. with Wilson), the patient drama was high end patient drama, the Jewish doctor was useless still, and Cuddy should've finished with "you like it".
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

    Finally watched it.

Yes, the bit with Wilson made me giggle. Loved the fight near the end.

I'm pleased, I was expecting to have continuous fury over their relationship, considering the rage I felt at last season's finale (combined with hope that it was just a drug-induced delusion).
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.

702 is probably one of the best House episodes I've seen in ages.
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

The great thing about medical shows is that they don't need to jump the shark. House could live on a very long time, or until fans get sick of House's quirkiness, which seems to be the weak point, in that the weak point is usually people getting sick of the strong point.

I actually saw this episode earlier but didn't have the energy to write up on it

I liked it. The House-Cuddy interaction was good. It's clear that House is in that recovering-from-horrible-depression stage where he has to hide his happiness in a cloud of contempt, they did that well. Also he was a dick on the kart track, which was to be expected, and Cuddy didn't blow up about it which implies she knows what she's getting into.

They also breathed new flame into the House-as-Holmes thing with pitting him against a mystery novel writer. And that worked out okay too, and managed to be somewhat interesting, even if her personal problems were chosen poorly by the writers.

I think we're going into a good place with House!

The fact that his situation parallels my own recovery from a suicidal depression may or may not have something to do with my take on it.

I had a problem with the as your boss/employee/boyfriend/girlfriend routine. Just felt so forced.

It did? I thought they were both doing it tongue-in-cheek with both knowing it, and they even directly made light of it when House went "as your boyfriend I understand, as your employee I'm extremely disappointed in your inefficiency"; that's just the kind of snarky dynamic I'm used to in a relationship, though, so
