Sit Rep from what is becoming my lets try shit out to see what sticks game. Still have the 16 cities, 6 occupied ones still working on courthouse and my cash is 33/turn and 20 . Those problems are over. One thing that killed my economy was that although the conquered cities were all connected with roads, none of them led to my capital. Which means paying the upkeep, but not getting the rewards. Once I connected one city, the others connected automatically and I got +27 gold/turn, plus 4 from that social policy, two have to wait for courthouse to finish before they can build harbours. So, easily maintaining 10 original cities, 6 conquered ones with more happies and cash in the future.

Also, I'm playing continents, got me a caraval to meet new people and they traded 3 new luxury resources with me, +15 I got 12 out of 15 now.

So, on to the next expansion phase. Gonna build 6-8 lancers before declaring on Hiawatha if he doesn't declare on me first. Thinking of razing his cities and simply sending my settlers in afterwards to prevent the whole occupied bonanza.
