Can you counter it with a bottle of real Smirnoff vodka? Now that would be funny!

The last week I drank whine everyday. That's what I love about holidays, dinner with whine everyday. And then Mojito and Caipirinha at the beach bar.

Uhm ... beer. Sometimes whisky. But mostly beer. Maybe the odd red wine during dinner.

    Yeah. That.

Went to a party Saturday night, which ended Sunday night!

At about 2pm Saturday I started drinking beer while preparing the spit-roasted lamb and pig.

At about 10pm we ate and I switched from beer to whiskey thereafter.

At about midnight I hit the vodka slushies....everything else is a blur....

Speaking of girly drinks and all, I'm having an appletini.

I'd like to know why I have no martini glasses.

One of my best mates called me a Poster Boy for Binge Britain a couple of weeks back. Admittedly I do binge. And I can't really handle my drink. I don't have an off button so don't stop at what would be a sensible time to stop.

Plastered though? Or just merry? Or any degree in between?

I rarely touch a drop during the week, but fridays, saturdays, and often sundays I'll be shitfaced. Which is binging.

    Hot tea. And ice water.

    I didn't necessarily mean booze.

I approve of not blending your drinks, though.

    Look

You have to drink the booze

    So spice that ice, baby

Hoping to have some drinks when my parents spend time with the baby. Sushi and wine!

I know this weekend it's probably going to be wine wine and gin&tonic. Gotta get hammered on mojitos sometime soon.

Had a kickass white peach sangria mix (white wine+peach vodka) from Longhorn's restaurant, and an entire bottle of red wine the night before that.

Aside from drinking little over the last 13 years because of CFIDS and then kidney failure....

I'm pretty much a beer guy, though in high school and college I drank more hard liquor because it's a cheaper drunk.

Yeah, that describes me up to maybe age 25. I didn't drink that often, but I tended to drink too much when I did.

Local breweries here are suffering from the strong Aussie dollar, imported beers are 1/3 the price they were 2 years ago and local booze has never been so expensive to make. Exporting is just not happening.

I still drink the odd Fosters. Not as much as I used to. Am leaning more toward white beers now - Hoegarden and Leffe.

Picked up a couple of proper Leffe glasses from Brugge last weekend which I'm v happy with.

Fosters I always prefered VBs and Pure Blondes.

Yeh - everyone always says Fosters is Aussie piss, much like Bud is American piss. Real Aussies drink VB etc yadda yadda.

Fosters was a staple in my diet for many years.

But I suppose as one gets older one's tastes refine somewhat. Blonde and white beers certainly please my palate more nowadays.

Well here in WA you won't find many Fosters or VB drinkers but certainly plenty of Blonde drinkers.

I have a 12 pack of Fat Yak chilling right now, looking forward to knocking the cap off the first one in about 1/2 hour.

The Fat Yak is an appropriate name, I swear I could feel the calories sliding down my throat with that beer - I reckon a fat yak is what you would become if you drank too much of it.

As for this evening I am switching over to cider for a refreshing change in this stinking hot weather:

I haven't tried Pipsqueak yet, looking forward to it.

I was trying to think of his name for the longest time, Baltic Sailor, I guess he did post here at one time, and just a month ago too.
