Not been around in several months now ...

He moved into my neighbourhood a little before then, and seemed to stop posting soon after.

Been sucked up into the London life methinks.

Funny thing is though, he travelled all over the place and sorta blogged on here and Atari so even the London life should allow for a little posting. Maybe he just drifted away like some others have.

I've been posting for almost 10 years - infogrames, Atari & TWF and I have had a hiatus or 3 along the way for various reasons.

Happy Birthday Spawnie, party on dude

    Hello everyone!

Thanks loads for the birstday wishes! (Funnily enough everyone used to bloody forget when I actually posted every day).

I have not, as yet, died. Though Londoners are exceptionally rude, I'm generally pretty rude myself so I seem to be fitting right in.

I only havent been posting because I work reasonably long hours, commute to the centre of London either side of that, have at least 2-3 nights a week where I do stuff like playing football or squash or whatever. After that I have a girlfriend and, as you can imagine, the time is eaten instantly up. Also I didnt have a net connection for ages. During that bleak period, I was forced to get myself some normal activities that didnt involve sitting down with my dick in my hand. Since then, I've found those activities quite hard to give up.

Speaking of which, there is this game right, called Football Manager... You who know it will know what I mean...

Anyway, things are delightful, pretty much. Not that I want to rub it in or anything.

I have managed to get two pay rises in ~6 months. The company I'm with is only going to get bigger and richer from here and I like my colleagues, so I'm pretty happy. I'm on the brink of moving in with my girlfriend. I'm fucking AWESOME at football and squash, which is a surprise to me and everyone else as I spent my entire childhood chasing eggs.

Obviously this means a massive fall is only minutes away, but until then I am going to enjoy the whole thing (especially living in a place that lets you see some of the worlds greatest art and historical artifacts for free - as opposed to the mud hut I grew up in.). My customary melancholy is largely absent, too.

Tim - I do live right near you! I live in Earlsfield. I used to go to a gym in Wimbledon and its one stop on the train. I timed it once and its about 7 minutes from my door to wimbledon station. I'm still definitely up for meeting up for a drink or something to eat sometime. We can introduce our grilfriends to one another and then ditch them for some proper manly talk while they moan about how much time we spend watching football. I'm sure you cant wait to meet after a description like that... Anyway, PM me and we can exchange numbers or something.

Right - thats pretty much a summary of what Ive been up to and an excuse for why I havent been posting.

Actually, my debating ability is diminishing by the second. I think it was that sports debate with Loki that finished me. Where I said something and he quoted one line of what I said, proved that it was wrong, and then later used the same argument I had used against him (in the text he ignored) as the foundation of his own argument. That pissed me off. Not that I blame him. I like Loki. Ill try to look in a bit more regularly and post a few more decent replies.

Edit - I hope this message doesnt sound too self-congratulatory. Things arent that good I suppose. I was just hoping to explain that things were going pretty well and you dont all need to worry. I know geegee at least will be happy to know that much at least.
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink, because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl.

Sorry, couldn't resist the selective quoting.

Tell us how the move-in proposal goes, I'm always curious to hear how that stuff goes down.

    Spawneeeee!

    G'day son!

Yep yep still up for drinkies.

Have just started a new job in town myself, Canary Wharf, so I do the SW Trains commute up to Waterloo every day and pass through Wimbledon and Earlsfield, so meeting up would be easy as. I'll PM and we'll hook up.

WB by the way, and I'm happy the Landan life hasn't chewed you up and spat you out.
