If you can dump Sense altogether, I'd say go ahead.

I don't use sense, but that shit still runs in the backgroundeverything in the pic is third party or fourth party or whatever

"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
That's terrible. Like the herp, always lurking below the surface of even the prettiest interface.![]()
voila, finally rootedalready paying off through feeling of liberation and through awesome backups

SCANDALOUS
mobile device, with a mobile processor, seems likely that although it can take a range of frequencies between 245 and 1000 mhz it almost always stays at the highest frequencies no matter what's running (or not) in the background. thankfully, there's a workaround for the antiworkaroundstill not perfect but i swear i'll get there.
the things you wish you didn't know... this is almost as bad as when my laptop was permanently stuck at half its max clock speed due to an official update![]()

Trying out custom ROMs is a relatively easy and safe process, due to all the helpful tools available. It does however help to wipe everything before installing a new ROM, for some reason I get stuck in a boot-loop otherwise. Most annoying![]()

I have installed the 5th release candidate of Oxygen ROM, based on Gingerbread. Doing so I have finally left the world of Sense. It feels weird but so far, in every way, very very good. Have tried an excellent sense-based alternative as well, but I think I'll stick with this one for a while nowhave also put in an ext3 partition on the SD card for the apps (not sure if this is working the way it should atm on this ROM, but worked perfectly on the previous). Am toying with the notion of updating the radio firmware.
I'm beginning to get the "deal" with android. It's incredibly luberating![]()
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
Luberating is itself a typo with all sorts of delightful opportunities.
That's why I changed it back before posting
currently trying out Miui ROM whilst worrying about China's secret plan to keep tabs on every single mobile device on earth. very nice experience although the iOS-look is... creepy tbh.

There are tons of vibrator apps. I swear to god the playstation phone will be a best-selling high-tech multimedia-enabled vibrator.
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
I'd rather have a pet cylon as a high-tech multi-media enabled vibrator.
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.
So my Nook Color arrived today, at last! Ended up having to pay VAT for it, which made the whole thing seem like a much worse deal... was afraid I'd be most displeased by it... and the crazy thing is, I'm not! Now about to install honeycomb...
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
You can root a Nook to run Honeycomb? Are you sure it has the processing power for that?
Seems like people are doing it, take screenshots/shots of the screen when it's done I want to see this!
It works all right, even the buggy emulator version... however i need to get hold of an adapter for your retarded American plugs :P
So everything's working pretty well now except the screenshots...am most pleased. I get the feeling i really wouldn't be very comfortable with 10" tablet unless it were ridiculously light.

How about typing? And how have you ironed out the bugs?
I'm honestly not sure but i think replacing the stock launcher helped greatly. Using thumb keyboard to type now until swiftkey gets out of beta, it's not bad at all but a little buggier than the stock honeycomb keyboard. This thing is ridiculously useful when studying, got all my pdfs on it now![]()
I can see that as a big plus...don't forget to try Google Books if you get the chance, I've become a big fan of it.
...why is this thread worthy, lol?
not trying to bash anyone. i'm gonnaassume there's astory behind this?
Warned for trolling.
and repealing warning cuz this isn't actually trolling. tell me where the malevolent intent is and please point out any condescending, douchebaggy, assholeish, belligerent, whatever rude tone/remark you might see in my comment.
Btw you can get the nook for about 200 from b&n official ebay store using the code ‘CBARNESDD’ for a couple more days! Warmly recommended.

I had an update for my galaxy s and the email finally works smoothIt seems my battery is better now, too. Not into tweaking so I am glad a normal update fixed it

Keep on keepin' the beat alive!
For those of you who like changing things up on occasion, I'd like to recommend Wave Launcher and Launcher7 (or Metro UI if you prefer).
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
I think it had something to do with the thing freezing while synchronizing something because it also happened on facebook and other apps that use the internet, and those all work smooth now. The only thing I'd like to change about the email now is for it to also automatically sync subfolders (i have a bunch of subfolders and rules for incoming mail to keep it organized) in stead of manual, and to count it in the unread email count.
And it would be nice if the swype 'help' popup would fuck off, I get the message after seeing it a thousand times.
