Khen, we do have some defined entry/exit toll roads. We call them Turnpikes on the east coast. We also have some tunnel and bridge toll booths. Wouldn't call it very coordinated, though.
We have "weigh stations" on several highways, where 18 wheel trucks were required to stop and pay fees based on carried weight of their cargo, but it's been years since I've seen one being actively used.
