Thread: What's messing with your Groove?

  1. #181
A little bird told me that I'm, essentially, fucked. Crossroads, complicated choices, all that jazz. It's not something I want to discuss, really. Suffice to say there's a slight chance that everything's gonna be ok, and a huge potential for fucking up one or another part of my life.

I mean, the pan is so sticky you could throw a marble in there and it would stick. It's bloody annoying and messing with my groove!
    Sigh.

    Sounds familiar.

Bought a new flat three months ago. The bog in this place is shaped in such a way that your poo never lands in the water, it lands on the slant at the back of the pan. Which means that every time you flush you have to brush it off with the toilet brush.

I've tried shifting forward on the seat to the point where I'm dangling above the water, but it ends up being so far forward that my nadgers are right up against the front of the toilet seat. Which is ... uncomfortable.

Aye, the Atlantic snow storm you guys are enjoying made the news on this side of the pond.

I'd love to have a snowstorm blow into this town - its been 70 odd days without rain with clear sunny sky's everyday - it actually gets annoying after a while.

We're supposed to get about a foot of snow over the next 24 hours...

    Ah man, that's crap.

Perhaps you should dump the toilet back with the manufacturers and tell them how shit it is.
All those moments lost in time... like tears in the rain

Try putting some tissue on the dry part of the "pan" (we call it bowl) first. That's an old potty-training trick.

Yeah, we're supposed to get the same thing either tomorrow or the next day...I like snow and all, but not when I have to shovel it and commute through it...

Tomorrow morning when I leave home I won't come back there for 2 weeks, and I haven't started packing yet.
    Congratulations America

All these reminders of TMBG in the happy thread - reminds me of my first real boyfriend (as in I actually went to parties and on dates with him).

It was 9th grade. We went to a party that there were no adults home for. He broke up with me because I wouldn't fuck him and I had to walk home.

It started here around 5pm, we already have 3 inches. The roads suck. Took me an hour to drive 5 miles (up/down hills). Had to turn around half way up a hill because my little car was spinning its wheels The alt route was the highway, which PennDoT hadn't touched yet. Even the semi trucks were going about 30 mph. What's with the assholes tailgating in this kind of weather?

School is cancelled, the whole town is shut down again....

  13. #193
Holy crap. I grew up in Ohio, and remember that the roads were fairly kept during/after storms. Get studs (for your tires too if you wish) if they even still do that?
The worst job in the world is better than being broke and homeless

  14. #194
I could use a stud. I weighted it down with stuff in the trunk, should have gotten snow tires tho.

Only school buses use chains here. Got to watch a 4WD truck use a rope to pull a car up one main hill, long line waiting to get a running start.

Reeeeeeee. Tight knuckles made my car go, go nellie go Reeeeeee

  15. #195
    You call your car nellie?
Wife working a fucked up graveyard shift Nothing on t.v. Evryone else here sleeping so I have to be quiet

Doesn't everyone name their car, and talk to it?

Been snowing for 7 hours now....

I'm eating chocolate chip cookie dough and watching a Sylvester Stallone movie. whee

Not me. But, yeah most people I know do. Nellie? Like from 'Little House on the Prairie'?
Do you ski? You might now.
Chocolate chip cookie dough with rum? Hmm, might not be so bad. Sly, depends on the movie.

Nellie, like a horse. Whoa nellie! Haven't hit the rum yet....

Sly usually bugs me, it's the movie where they're trapped in the NJ tunnel. Daylight. Pretty bad.

    Poor Loki. eat pi

  21. #201
Oh, a horse. I must be tired if my mind went Little house first thing.
Daylight does suck, you poor thing. Isn't there at least an infomercial or something on? Well, guess i could ask myself the same thing.

Whooooa Nelly. Nelly (short for Nellybelle) was a jeep (not a horse) on Roy Rogers show.
Faith is Hope (see Loki's sig for details)
If hindsight is 20-20, why is it so often ignored?

Did he have that stuffed, too?

I don't know but here's a web tribute to it with some pictures.

And you admit to knowing this?

With Roy Rogers it's not just age, it's also a general lack of taste. Ugh.

I'll bite my tongue. For now.

It was in fact owned by Roy, but was driven in the show by his comic sidekick, Pat Brady. The name apparently developed out of Pat riding an ornery mule in the earlier movies, and addressing it with phrases like "Whoa, Nelly!"
Sounds plausible, Being. My gramps and dad used to say whoa nelly, too.
And Little House on the Prairie is a great collection of books. Timeless.

Fan of cowboy movies, are you? I'm eternally glad I have never had to put up with anyone who likes that garbage. The war movies are quite bad enough.
