Free personal accounting software

I would like to start tracking my personal expenditures better, in the past I've used GnuCash and I'm considering downloading it and starting it up again, but wondering if there's anything better out there (for PC's)?

One thing I especially need to do that I didn't in the past is track what's personal and what's business. I spend a lot on purcashes for work and I'm not convinced I'm claiming all receipts back.

Ideally I'd also like it to be able to Sync automatically between my Laptop and PC, though if that's not an automatic function of anything if the data files can be saved in my work folder then that already automatically gets synced by Windows Live Sync.

My mom swears by Quicken, been using that software for the past 10 years at least. I know they have a free online version, but she goes with the desktop version via amazon, which is a good $20-$30 cheaper than what WalMart sells it for.

Making your own spreadsheet and sticking to updating it is also a good way to really map out your finances.

I do one in a Google Doc so I can update it wherever I am. And I have a calendar entry to make sure it's updated at least once a week.

I use You Need a Budget. It's based on an envelope system, but has some really nice ideas. You can import bank transactions etc and has a good layout. The reporting is good too. It's helped me save a bunch of money just by analysing what all my money goes on, and helps even out the bumps by tracking my saving for things that come up in the future, like car tax, insurance payments etc.

edit: It has an iPhone app too and an Android one in the pipeworks that auto syncs with your pc, so you can track expenditures on the go and upload them later on.
