Of course it is. You're incredibly uncomfortable with some things and have a compulsive need to try to rationalise away that discomfort or put the spotlight on something you feel is more legitimate. It's one of your endearing qualities, although sometimes I wish you'd just embrace your own weirdness because perhaps that might help you accept the rest of the non-Dreadnaught world.

    another popular excuse, victim card!
Calling my intolerance of slice-and-dice an "excuse" is like saying I'm using someone taking a dump on my screen as an excuse for leaving the room. Because taking a dump on someone's screen is what slice-and-dice is.
wow, someone is cranky and confused. once again taking your personal opinion of how everyone else communicates and presenting it in a retarded and derogatory manner.
It's the reason Reddit has a niche audience (which is somewhat declining/flatlining).
    um what?
Reddit is hardly niche. Its tripled in size in a year, serving over 21 million unique pageviews, and 1.6 billion pages per month. An Alexas ranking of 46 for the US, and 123 worldwide. Reddit pulls in more pageviews than digg, myspace, or even CNN. Yep, this sure is declining.
But don't let stuff like that get in the way of you dismissing something thats to complicated to follow or understand.

Yes, writing actual paragraphs involves making more points and putting yourself out there a bit more. It involves risking a certain level of ridicule because you're putting more into the open. I realize that scares people like you. But you can be really good at it.
Its also a total waste of time when debating on boards, cause it makes it that much easier for you to ignore the points you aren't comfortable with. I tried it when you in the voucher thread. Gave you a full multiparagh stance on everything that had come up, and I think you responded to 2 of the points, out of the entire post. Why waste your time completing owning someone when they're just going to reply to a single sentence anyway?

    That's childish and mean-spirited.
No, what you're doing, attacking the style of others instead of the content, is childish.

Yeah, so OG is back to the insults and presumptions of superiority. You really make posting here unpleasant and uncivilized. When you're not assuming your superiority at every turn, you are belittling people because they refuse to play along with your snobby Web-centric view of things.

I've never put anyone on ignore before, but for the first time in over a decade I'm going to try it here for a week.

    This is very sophomoric.

As you have previously pointed out, OG jumps down my throat over everything. It's clear he takes almost everything I post very personally, and he responds to me with deep hostility and anger. His last post is just one more sign he uses me as a punching bag to make himself feel better in real life.

I don't come here to "own" people or obsessively break-down every sentence they post to feel better about myself. It's clear OG does that to me. It's unhealthy for both of us, so I'm taking a break from it.

No intention of being insultive, you yourself have claimed reddit is unreadable, and since its obviously not, I'm taking that to mean its difficult to read for you.
And you managed to both read and reply to a splice, and you, again, managed to snip it down to 2 lines. Thats what I was referring to earlier. How does that encourage people to reply in full time wasting paragraphs?

I was wondering where you were coming from with the superiority line Maybe I have more lax view of "owning" but it happens here all the time. Every debate we have is an attempt to break down why the other side is wrong, and so very very few of them end in a "lets agree to disagree." My owning remark was more of a hypothetical, wasn't honestly recalling any certain instance or event.
But I do use this place to learn new things about new places, events, and especially people, its not easy considering how ingrained everyone is in their views, so it requires a certain degree of honesty that frankly isn't present here, or a dose of citation when people try to wedge in wild claims in the middle of not so wild claims (which in turn requires breaking down claims by sentence or statement).

See, you shoulda read the entire paragraph from which you took that quote.

When you have the time feel free to reflect on your labelling a style of posting employed by even the little and altighty Fuzzy as generally "taking a dump" on your brilliant posts. Sorry if we're not making your constant attempts at solidifying your new, strong, realistic, mature, insightful and patriotic identity a pleasant experience. We each have our own agenda, much as we have our own posting styles.

All of this is, of course, an unnecessary distraction. I did not signifcantly misrepresent your post with my slicing and dicing, certainly not to the same extent that you eg. misrepresented the objections several of us have presented here, and on CC, to the borked US healthcare system. I'm not exactly shy about sharing my opinions or my views on your healthcare system, and I have usually been forthcoming about providing the sources on which I've based my posts. You made a lame and insulting objection to my post that I, out of a desire to be charitable, will attribute to a harmless quirk of yours. If you're interested in a more informative recap of my thoughts, you have many threads you can explore. If you're interested in playing silly games you'll have to do so with someone who hasn't developed a very low threshold for manipulation after a decade of mingling with the cunning, conniving wretches that make up this community

I like you sharing your opinions about our healthcare system. And I like sharing mine of yours. We've done it before. You and I seemed to be saying the same thing over and over — that we've done it before. I honestly bear no animus towards you in this thread (or in general).

Fuzzy doesn't really slice-and-dice much, and neither do you. There is a difference between selectively quoting and obsessively taking every third sentence apart. I think you can recognize that difference when you see it.

In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

No no. It's going to be Bachmann. Pay attention, young man!

(Also might want to look at converting into Christianity before it gets, eh, popular, if you catch my drift)
