Large monitors are amazing. I thought I had it perfect when I got a 2001FP (20.1") back when they were going for a grand new. Finally moved up to a 23" screen at 1080p and it made everything else feel like looking down a cardboard tube.
I plan to move up to a 24, maybe a 26", after the next HD res is settled on. Considering how most desks are set up I don't see myself going higher than that. I have no wish to set all my game FOV settings to 100%.
TVs in the livingroom are a different story, I still could have gone bigger after using the 61" DLP I had, but DLP and Plasma just aren't worth the power consumption and LED ain't at the right price point yet, so I settled for the 46" I have now.

Don't understand people who buy a Laptop and only use it in an office though.
Do you know they bought them? Maybe the company bought them a laptop, contrary to their explicit wishes that they be given a desktop, which is cheaper, faster and just going to sit at the desk anyway, so who needs mobility? You know, for a purely hypothetical example. Other reasons might include meetings and travel... if you do a lot of either, having a mobile computing platform can come in handy, so you're never sitting in a room full of colleagues, bored to tears and unable to access your secret stash of work pr0n.

Also kind of curious, if they were regularly wrong but never admitted it, what are the odds that your mistake just happened to fall under the period that they've now acknowledged there was a problem?
Maybe their track record is that they were never wrong ... before now.
