I miss this part of my life. Never a juggalo myself, but most of my crowd was. Some of the most enthusiastic, loyal people I've ever known. and that never ending drug habit If I was bored or needed to get away, these were the people I called. Everything from being the lighting person for a nude photo shoot to just chilling at the parks in the middle of the night.

Someone did a good write up a little while ago of the culture they experienced at the last gathering, remember it floating across Reddit. Wonder if I can find it.

Finally watched the whole thing. It was very well done, they did a really good job of capturing how diverse these people are, but they didn't seem to go anywhere near the stadium or the crowds experiencing the music, so they missed a good bit of the energy the juggalos share.

Maybe OG's crowd was a better kind. My cousin's crowd is a bunch of morons, most with no jobs, few with GEDs or high school diplomas (they are in their mid-20s) but they have mysteriously enough money to spend on XBOXlive and ICP concerts, cigarettes and alcohol. Did I mention my cousin still lives with my grandmother (so does her mother, my aunt) And everytime I've seen her boyfriend he's wearing a Juggalo shirt, even at family functions! Ugh. Her Facebook page is so ridiculous I've blocked her posts on my feed

And even though I like maybe one ICP song enough to have bought the CD single at a resale record store back when you could...like, 10 years ago....I'd never want to be that "involved" in that mindset.

EDIT: I realize my rant seems a little bit stereotyping a group. Sorry, I'm sure there are perfectly good Juggalos out there, but what I have seen of it personally has made me want to vomit.

So what the hell is the whole point of this "juggalo" movement? Do whatever feels good? Go to some outdoor event where you can listen to music all day, have your face painted, pour drinks all over yourself, stare at each other with blank faces then suddenly snap back into life with spasmodic movements? Well where the hell do I sign up?!

I've never come across the apocalypse mythology. Then again I don't listen to any of their songs unless they manage to get cleaned up enough to end up on American radio. I know ICP recently came out as Christians, and as far as I can tell that didn't change a damn thing.
Not many of the juggalos, and especially juggalettes, actually liked the music or understood/knew the lyrics to most of the more insane songs. This cultural thing didn't really kick off till ICP put out a few pop songs to draw people into the life style. About the time of their Great Milenko Album, which surprisingly enough, was influenced by Disney's ownership of the group at the time. Juggalo music at this point isn't limited to just ICP music.

Uh yeah...people who think they have the right to advocate laws, policies, whatever, that deprive a person of their property rights, right to free speech, and the likes, ARE imbeciles. I don't think the exact mechanism is known. The active ingredient of the compressed air is the propellant, which is probably some fluorocarbon (di-, tri- and tetrafluoroethanes are commonly used there). Just like with many gaseous anesthetics, people, as far as I know, aren't quite sure how they do what they do, but the most common explanations for their biological activity is that they probably bind to some random receptors here and there, (since they're small enough to fit anywhere, and fluorine can sometimes act as hydrogen bond donor - I'm not sure this is exactly how it works, but that's my best guess) and therefore interfere with their normal function. Apparently, this just happens to to have effects on one's mind generally percieved as pleasant ones.

The basic fact that you are using words like 'agree' or 'disagree' shows that you do not think people should be able to do what they like with their own bodies or with their own lives, the fact that you don't think the government should be enforcing it doesn't really change that. The point is that the religion has an actual reason to make their morals that. The Big Bad Man in the Sky says so, and he has ultimate authority over the entire cosmos and is omnipotent to boot, so what he say goes. That's a pretty stupid reason, but it's still a reason. If you take those morals, take away the religion and don't replace them with some other reason for having them then you have them for no reason at all.
