Say what you like about reddit, but you can't deny that they occasionally do decent things:

No hangover, despite the fact that I SO deserve one. Speaking of which, yesterday was the best day I've had in a while.

You know, I don't think I've ever heard that turn of phrase in English. Is it common in Svedish, too?
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

    Haha, great.

I have to admit, the term isn't that often used here either, and when it is only used if you do/don't do something because of your gf.

So, with my website, they kinda held my new domain name hostage. Well, they didn't say it outright, but If I didn't pay them, they wouldn't release the transfer details. Whatever. I'm past that and will figure out my next plan.

So, I finally got an appology.

"The website admin was a free gift to you. I paid for the buildout of the application and ate the cost in an effort to say "Sorry for giving you terrible service". We love your identity and website that we created, but the service we gave was terrible."

Glad to see they finally admitted to their terrible service.
I guess it makes me, not happy really, but less mad.

Friday night my flight was cancelled. Since İ would not accept their claim about 'bad weather conditions' I put in a claim under Eu law. Today I got an e-mail telling me I could choose between €400 cash and a €500 flight voucher. Also my extra expenses because of the delay €10 will be refunded. All it took was a couple of angry messages on Twitter.
    Congratulations America

Ordered the memory today. 8gb of Corsair DDR3 (1333) for $23 after rebate. brings the build cost up to ~$343.

Need to find a case now, and the rest will wait till ivybridge (GPU, CPU, motherboard). Favoring the Antec Lanboy, but it seems kinda pricey, hoping to catch it on sale.

1333? That's not overpowered at all! You better be overclocking that.

  23. #3353
but of course. thats why i went with the corsair + rebate over a cheaper brand with no rebate hassle.

also why i'm waiting on the motherboard purchase. I want to see what boards the reviewers use. I understand ivybridge won't require to much change and most boards will work with a BIOS flash, but I want to see results first.

I fully approve of your recent computing choices .

Also, that lanboy is a sexy looking case. Go with red. It'll go faster.

There is always something with a little more subtlety. I haven't actively reviewed the specs, or reviews, just the pictures.

Have started to look at new builds, considering my ~5yr old box is really starting to creak, struggles with SWToR, and the display driver keeps resetting itself, shutting off the monitor for anything from 20 seconds to permanently.

The more high-end machines I've been looking at come with solid state drives as the primary drive, with much larger traditional drives as secondary.

From the very little i've read of these SSDs, they're much quicker and quiter than normal drives.

I'm guessing their purpose in this kind of set up is for programs to be loaded onto the SSD for speed of access, and the secondary drive for storage of tunes, movies, files, whatever ... ?

    I think I'm in love.

Also have a Seasonic modular PSU arriving tomorrow. To bad the rest of the machine isn't getting upgraded till ivybridge at the end of march or early April, but at least by then the 7950 should be under 300 bucks.
After seeing your scores, I had to check mine as well.

7.4 for the processor, 7.5 for the RAM, 6.9 for the Graphics, 6.9 for the Gaming Graphics, and 5.9 for the drive. Not too bad for a $1,000 laptop.

my phone provider texted me saying they want to give me 6 months of spotify premium for free, and an extra 500MB/month to make use of it! Of course, they do it so I will take their spotify bundle after, but I'm not really opposed to that either because it contains premium + 500MB/month for the price of a normal premium account, and now I get to try it for 6 months for free.

What is making me happy right now? Well, first off nostalgia is a big reason i'm happy at the moment. Secondly, I am pretty happy I stumbled, but not thee "Stumble", on this website. And lastly, I notice a couple of people on here that I remember back from my old gaming days. Hello everyone, my name is Sonic. It's nice to be here.

    Welcome Sonic.

Used to peruse the old Atari boards? As that's where we all came from.
