It depends on your privacy settings. Even at the strictest settings, they'll see your name, interests, and friends though.

I think even those can now be toggled on privacy settings now actually, although default privacy has them visible you can change it I think. My little brother's account (11) set-up by my parents for him has the strictest privacy settings, anyone searching his name won't find him, anyone who does click on his account (eg via a link) will see practically nothing besides his name until they're approved as a friend.

Why is the facebook button back?
It clashes, even on the blue theme, and its larger than the line of text its on, so it throws stuff off that way too.

It was always supposed to come back, I just got really lazy. Nobody's required to use it, but if anybody does it could easily turn into a big win for the forum. I'll move that button at the top of the page to someplace else so people won't have to keep seeing it. Just need to figure out where.
Like the +1 button, I think it's a good idea.
The buttons need switched, the like button only uses half the space it reserves for itself, and when it finally does hide it leaves a huge gap before the google button.

For those who use secure facebook connections, the facebook button brings up a secure content warning, on every page.

Not sure what you're talking about, but it sounds annoying, so I'm turning this off again until I have time to look into it.
Facebook allows users to sign into a secure connection, https, which honestly should be the first thing people switch on if they ever use Facebook at work or with public access points; considering how easy it is to hijack a facebook session. If you browse these forums while signed into a secure facebook account, you get the secure connection warning. In IE9 it displays as a yellow warning across the bottom of the page.

Good question. Haven't tried that. Don't use to many sites that rely on it, and I stayed home today cleaning up throw up so my Reddit time wasting hasn't happened yet. Haven't noticed it at work yet, but that could be because my facebook sessions are in short bursts.

So this is basically the mixed security warning, right? Your browser is complaining that the facebook components are secure, but the rest of TWF is not?

I didn't have that problem while using Firefox and I use the secure setting for FB...must be an IE thing?
It's a browser level setting. It should be possible to disable it, whatever browser is being used.
I'm gonna have to see if I can find that setting then, cause clicking show all content only works on the current page.
and I still think the facebook button needs to come after the google button, simply because of the space it wastes.
