This facebook/myspace trend to change user avatars into children's cartoons is perhaps the dumbest viral campaign I've ever seen. It doesn't benefit anyone, and it just makes everything that much more creepy. How does taking a common phedophile practice and making it popular help fight child abuse?

Pedo is either to obvious, or to obscure for this. The trolling with Heman here is a little more subtle and I won't have to explain the who/what/why, especially to the family.
Also, one of my idiot friends posted that she had heard the campaign was actually started by pedophiles as a tactic to get children to friend them.
Which sounded off to me; found out that was just a rumor. But because of her post alot of mutual friends changed their pics quick.
