umm...what?
government employees aren't expecting performance raises for another 2 years, after the property taxes stabilize. Given that, the fact that work is still trying to reward performance in other ways is a reason to be happy. We can't be proud of our games?and I didn't say anything about waiting generations, I said years. As in like 4-5 years. We aren't hamsters GGT.
What the fuck crawled up your crotch?
Snow.
But the underlying priorities, the metrics by which you measure "success" still baffles me. You said yay, my new office is bigger than the kids' room.
If you want to talk about property taxes funding your employment, and how you can use that to your family's benefit, it shouldn't be about how big your office is.
Are we reading the same thread? About being happy over getting an office?
Cause I think the whole damn thing ended up way over your head
You remind me of Sinfield's Soup Nazi.
No Degree? NO HAPPINESS!
So sorry, like I said, your Happy....oh never mind. The compartments bled into each other. I'll slap a bandaid on it now.
Congrats on your new bigger office, OG! Now you can post in privacy on forums, in your tax payer subsidized job, and we can say Wheeeeee! Look how well our tax dollars work!
We all know that he got an office just so he could watch porn without disturbing others.![]()
Hope is the denial of reality
Wrong. I like tax dollars funding libraries, and how that can educate people. It's funding that pays for itself in the long term.
It is a useful service, never said it wasn't. OG and I are having a back-and-forth about personal priorities.I think OG has said previously that it is usually old people who take his classes - seems like a fairly useful service to me.
Instead of cheering his bigger office, I'd rather be cheering how he's completed his degree. He may want to brag that others with a degree don't have the corner office, or that his performance is being rewarded over education, and says the whole thing went over my head...
but really it's the bigger picture that went over HIS head, and that's what I'm posting about.
GGT, you must be the sourest person on these forums. Its like the idea of "its the little things" is completely foreign to you.
GGT's new rule: No happiness allowed till your PhD!
This is one of the strangest arguments I've ever seen in this community. Is OG supposed to feel guilty because he has a private office now?

edit: I was sure I clicked the Groove thread there!

Ashamed? Angry? Should he march into his boss's office and threaten to resign if his office isn't taken away from him?
Accordingly, my being a party-pooper should re-enforce your HappiNess?
Happy Is as Happy Does. Don't Worry, Be Happy! Those sour grapes folks should be ignored. They just can't enjoy simple pleasures, so fuck 'em.
Let's all take a Disney Cruise and play video games. Live paycheck to paycheck. That's the ticket to Happy!
I'm working on getting all of you who have advertised your free enemas as it says in the rules...hopefully Timothy will respond positively and not try and dance around this one. I can only imagine an Atari Enema would be quite the collectors item and would fetch a nice sum of cash as such...
. . .
I'm not gonna sell it!

CC is dead, there are shiny objects in the hallway to confuse Tim so don't worry, Spawnie was right and the jacket's good on the couch. This World Forgotten business has proved to be more promising than I ever expected and hopes are high.
Of course, early days still.
Good to see you tooSmashing blouse!

It's oyster.
So you started this little webspace did you?
I didn't. Wraith is the webmagician around here. It's almost like Star Trek. You ask for something, and it materialises in front of you.
Look at this sweet spoiler he gave me:
Spoiler:
I believe Loki is running the Blog side of the story, but I'm a little fuzzy (no pun) on management details.

Hmm, I'm gonna take a look around and settle in. I'm pretty glad that this place was created for all of us!
Laterz.
