    You're really not missing much.

Go somewhere, see it once. Preferably indoors, by a fire, with an electric blanket to keep you toasty.

Snow is a wonderful thing, unless you have to drive in it.

Crow, I always thought you were a manly beast. Confession time?

What a pity. I you can visit us, we have snow all year. Although fresh snow is the best.

I'd like to do that someday, I have teenage kids so it would be outrageously expensive to take us all there but it also seems wrong for me and the missus to go and leave them behind. I'll wait a couple of years when they're adults and leaving them out of our plans is more socially acceptable.

A good friend of mine is living in your part of the world and being the sporty type he is now an accomplished snow boarder, the bastard sends me pics all the time.

I could travel to the snow fields on the east coast of Australia but the season is very short, very expensive and according to the Euro folks it is not "snowy" enough - a better option which I am seriously considering is New Zealand a couple of years from now. I may even find a way to make it a business trip...

    Snow.

Cold snap in the UK continues. Third day in a row that I've been unable to go into the office, so have to work from home. Same with the rest of my team, none have made it into the office.

Four to five inches outside my apartment now - and snowing heavily.

Beautiful, but am starting to go stir crazy from being stuck indoors.

    Yeah something like that.

Still on the other hand I am surrounded by pristine beaches, unique wilderness and a warm temperate climate so I guess I can't have everything.

*I went to the Stirling Ranges when I was a kid because it was reported to be snowing there but when we arrived (after a 5 hour drive with 5 people jammed in a small sedan) there was just a cold, dirty grey, soggy mess and thousands of disappointed people.

I was in shorts yesterday up until I had to get properly dressed for work.

Today while driving to work my car's temperature read out keep bouncing between 36 and ICE. God damnit this is Florida, we aren't supposed to have ice outside!

Lunch time news in DC, and it all SUCKS. Charlie Rangel should be prosecuted for tax evasion and removed from office. Instead, he's spent $2 million and 2 years fighting a rap-on-his hand censure from the House. FFS. The GOP is going to hold the START ratification, DADT, and unemployment extensions hostage to extend Bush's tax cuts. FFS.

Somebody needs to kick some serious ass in Washington. Where are our rambunctious students and youth when we need them? Why aren't they holding massive (peaceful) pickets and marches on the streets, shaming our totally dysfunctional and inept "leaders"? Why does it have to be the Tea Party, or groups of old white people, or TV rallies for Beck or Colbert/Stewart to make some damn noise?

Kinda makes me wonder what the Democrats would be holding hostage if the deck was stacked the other way.

They're not organized enough. But if they could get their act together, or use filibuster as a minority, it would at least be something for the working class or middle class, or society in general. Maybe not though, since they can't even get rid of Rangel from their caucuses.

I read that congress is now its oldest in history. So much for throwing all the bums and old cronies out, eh?

Playing Sims and enjoying innovative new advertisements from Google, the doers of no-harm.

Oh yeah, giant spiders and deadly snakes are everywhere here.

This guy was a truck driver that came into our warehouse every weekday for the last 3 or 4 years and then last weekend he was killed by a snake bite from a baby Tiger snake - while sitting at his computer no less!

    Tribute to snake bite victim

    Posted Thu Dec 2, 2010 5:43pm AEDT

The rural community of Gingin is rallying behind the family of Michael Thorpe who died after being bitten by a snake last week.
Police say 43-year-old Mr Thorpe was bitten on the toe by a baby Tiger snake as he was sitting at his computer inside his home on Friday.
Mr Thorpe leaves behind his long term partner Tanya and six-year-old daughter Jana.
The Manager of the Gingin Hotel Peter Sayer says many of the town's residents and business people will get together to pay tribute to Mr Thorpe tonight.
"Just a bit of a get together and a bit of a tribute for Michael and his family and we're going to run a few raffles and the community businesses have got behind us really well and hopefully we can just put a bit of money into a trust fund for Tanya and Jana to help them along."

Not that much snow overhere, but it all turned into a thin layer of brown slush.

Learned 2 new things about the baby today.

    1) She knows how to work screw on tops
    2) She is strong enough to topple over 20lb containers of kitty litter.

I was proud, but not until I was done picking up the mess.

    You need a swear towel.
My friend had this towel when we went bowling, and when he missed or screwed up, he'd hold the towel to his face and scream and swear into it.
Then he'd ball it up and put it down, and warn us, "Don't open that!"

Just let Miss K gnaw on the in-laws. I think this solves all of your problems.

I am flat out exhausted! I think The Kid and I went to every place in Casper that sells lights/lamps looking for a touch lamp for Mommymunchkin for Christmas. He is going to try to order her one online, since we only found one, and it isn't what either of us wanted for her! Oh well, we bought that one, just in case, so if he can get one ordered and shipped by Christmas, I will have a lamp for my bedroom!

About 45 minutes after we got into Casper, it started snowing...hard! It made driving difficult (How can people forget how to drive on snow/ice/slush in the 5 or 6 months from last snowfall to first snowfall?) and parking was a nightmare! AND, to top it all off, I didn't realize I had a hole in the sole of my shoe...until I stepped in a fucking puddle! So, I had to go buy a pair of shoes sans hole, and a package of 3 pairs of socks (No, I couldn't find any single pairs of socks, so had to buy more I don't need!) so we could continue our shopping!
I don't have a problem with authority....I just don't like being told what to do!Remember, the toes you step on today may be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow!RIP Fluffy! 01-07-09 I'm so sorry Fluffster! People who don't like cats were probably mice in an earlier life! My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely! The nice part about living in a small town: When you don't know what you're doing, someone else always does!
    Atari bullshit refugee!!
