Bitter, are you paying models or sumthing?
No, Dread. They were part of an exhibit at the art museum. It was an "endurance" piece, where the "models" had to hold vases all day.
big people makeup, that didn't wash off with a wet rag.
Shes used to her kid stuff that she can apply, glance in the mirror, wipe off and do over and over again. This kind of surprised her. Caught her with her puppy dog eyes cause by the time she came to us, she knew she was in something she shouldn't have been.

The last picture is droplets - that day the weather was this dense mist/rain, and everything was coated in little droplets. You can get a sense of the weather that day from another picture at Vik (we thought it looked dramatic):
Most of the rest of the time the weather was more clear but still chilly... but it never really got below freezing, so there was little opportunity for ice sheaths to form on stuff. Happy you like 'em! We're not really photographers, but we have a forgiving camera and good subjects.
Iceland visitors always come back with the coolest photographs.
Did you experience any $40 breakfasts or somesuch?
Nah, it wasn't as bad as we heard. It also helped that instead of staying at a hotel, we got a studio apartment. It was cheaper, and we had a kitchen, so we pretty much made all of our own food using a combination of some stuff we brought and basics bought at the local supermarket. The food was mildly expensive, but not really that bad. Much of the fish was quite reasonably priced and fresh, too!
I'm sure for those people who ate at restaurants and hotels for every meal, it would have been a different story. To be honest, though, with 320k people how many legitimately good restaurants are they likely to have, anyways?
AirBNB or some other source of housing? I agree it can often more fun to cook when traveling if you have the right place/know where to get good food.
We didn't do AirBNB - it was not a private residence but a hotel company which provided studio apartments in small buildings (our building had 5 or so units?). There isn't exactly room service or a concierge, but the place was nice, clean, cheaper (though hardly cheap), and we had our own kitchen. There are a lot of places like this in Reykjavik - also lots of hostels.
Guess the city. Extra points for not looking up the URL.

This was the Junk King in Austin, Texas.
Really cool place, difficult to photograph...
This was from an old "arcade" animatronic museum at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco...
And this is the worlds largest outdoor chandelier, right here in Cleveland, Ohio!
No one guessed the city so far...
I give another hint

You guys are not really good at guessing to be honest.

The archways are unique I think. Dom Luis I Bridge between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal

Bingo. Porto is the correct answer. The first two picts where from the Livraria Lello e Irmão a Bookstore. Then one of the Casa da Música and then one from the Rua de 31 Janeiro.
