Finland, my favourite nation in the world, turns 93 today. A humble and unassuming people spent those years shaping an agrarian, backwards East European shit-hole into a modern technocracy. The nation's values are centered around equality, fairness and human decency. Instead of the 'American dream', it is perceived as a moral imperative to ensure a slice for everyone, rather than combating for one's own and fuck the rest of you dumb shmucks. This nation has afforded me, and a couple million more, health care, education and shelter without asking more of us than what we can give. I serve the nation in my own way, and it is my profound hope that I can contribute to the great system in a positive way. I love this land.
Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!
