Can I see your work, or is that too oppressive?
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

I dunno about "too oppressive," but I think I'm definitely getting "too bitchy" at the moment.

Could be, but criminalizing drunk driving (and the absurd propaganda demonizing it) comes and came from the socialist lot in this country, not from the backwater fundy lot, so, meh. Not that it really matters to me as far as the religious fundy vs socialist fundy question goes, but since Nessie asked, I answered.

Gawd... everything boils down to R vs D with you, doesn't it? For all your whining about the two party system in America, you can't seem to go two consecutive posts without either bashing or applying ridiculously unfair standards to the Republocrtats and baselessly jumping to the defense of the Demlicans. While being impervious to all factual data or information that undermines your partisan zealotry, too. You are a Democratic candidate's wet dream... 'gratz, or something.
You ignored my criticisms of both democrats (Dodd-Frank) as well as republicans (voting gridlock) in that post, and conveniently overlook my criticisms when liberal democrat's rigid ideology runs amok as much as conservative's.

Yes, our two-party system encourages things boiled down to R vs D, power struggles and party politics---an us vs them mindset---with extremes on both sides. Instead of negotiating and governing together for what's good as a nation, or being pragmatic. Our political climate has gotten nastier than ever, more partisan and polarized, and dysfunctional. Both conservative and liberal labels have become epithets used as fighting words (nazi, marxist, fascist, sssocialist, commie pinko). Congressional R's and D's spend more time bickering with each other than getting anything done.

Factual data and information supports my bi-partison zealous complaints. S & P downgraded our political quagmire, other "analysts" don't have confidence in our politicians. The public holds contempt and disgust for politicking in congress, acting less like diplomatic adults and more like bickering children.

Where are the jobs isn't being addressed by either party, it's being used as a campaign talking point and partisan football. Excuse me for noticing.

This, right here, is a great example of why I think putting forth the effort to make substantive replies to your posts is a total waste, generally speaking.

So, anyway, how about them j00s?

Only because you're the zealot who believes Government itself is bad, teh evil, the root cause of our problems, and nothing good can come of it. Your views are extreme and not shared by any kind of majority. On the other hand, I admit we need (yes, NEED) Government to help the world actually function, and I want our Government (and its politicians) to work better, smarter, efficiently, and cooperatively.
