Transfers are free for a while, so you can probably get away with creating on another server, and then transfering later tonight when Americans start going to sleep - once you're in with one character, it won't lock you out due to a full server anymore.
How do you make money in this game while the stupid trading post doesn't work? I managed to get 4 silver.
