They just passed 30 million, on their way to the goal of getting all the monies.
They're also doing their final sale before Life Time Insurance (LTI) goes away forever. Some limited edition ships and such, which will have LTI for everyone. I can still upconvert standard non-limited-time packages to LTI for anyone who wants, up until the 26th. There's a 24 hour cooldown before I can convert, so nothing purchased after the 25th will be convertible.

If you want an upconvert to LTI, buy whatever package you want and let me know. Basically what happens is you send it to me, 24 hours later I melt it down, repurchase, and send it back. I get a discount on any packages over $100, so PM me in advance if you're getting one of those and I'll let you know the price I can get for you - in that case, you'll just buy some combination of items that adds up to that amount, and I'll convert it to the package you want as well.

It has been a fascinating self kick starter type to watch, I've committed nothing to this, it is interesting, but I will wait for a demo of the single player game or final public beta if they do one for their mmo section. I usually end up buying the mmo game if I get to play in the public beta, its all shiny and new halo effect, but end up quitting after 2 or 3 months.
It does bother me that they seem to be getting a million a week or every other week to the game funds, I know there will be a game, I just have this feeling he is somehow going to end up not owning it again, like his other games, which would only matter for the MMO part to me if I got time invested into that.
Arena Commander is now live (as is a more open-world version of Elite: Dangerous).
Currently waiting for a new joystick, I left my old joystick somewhere when I moved and a gamepad simply doesn't cut it (too few buttons for Elite Dangerous to work, as you need both hands for the gamepad).

Still working out the controls in E: D. It's still an alpha, though (at least the code is based on the latest alpha, just with MP tacked on), and currently a bit limited: Just 5 systems, no real distinction between PvE and PvP zones and the economy is a bit wonky.
