To get, or not to get, that is the question.

I greatly enjoyed Civ 4 and all its wonderful mods, but I'm slightly off put by the demo's interface; I can't find any missing mechanics, but it appears "dumbed down". How does Civ 5 compare against its golden predecessor?

Enjoyed Civ V much, but can't remember enough about how it differs from Civ IV, sorry.

All I can say is that if you enjoyed IV, you'll certainly enjoy V.

I enjoyed Civ5 reasonable well though I found it a bit easier than Civ4 was. A perfectly reasonable purchase that will probably garner at least 150 hours of play-time if you like TBS at all in the first place.
